Re: Unable to login to Android app
I have just started having a similar(?) problem. I use the SIM on a router for laptop internet access, have done for a few years now . Suddenly, it tells me that there is a reset error and that I have to sign in to the network, I can get to the dashboard, but I cannot get to any other pages. I am in France at the moment. I have 2gB left on my account for roaming, and I bought another 2gB yesterday to cover me if I run out. I can't get on to my Fire tablet either, but my husband has no issues with SMARTY on his laptop. The add-on has been charged for. I have done network troubleshooting which comes up with the same answer. Any ideas. I have started and restarted,. There is no local 5g problem. Nothing has changed except basically a loss of service for me, not my husband.33Views0likes0CommentsRe: [Prize Draw] WIN A YEAR'S SUPPLY OF DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE! - CLOSED
My favourite Easter Egg? Well, it no longer exists and I never got a taste of it. I was in hospital as a child and at Easter a giant egg was delivered to the ward. It was magnificent, and the eight children in the ward communaly salivated. We all couldn't wait for Easter Sunday when it would be smashed and shared around among patients and staff. Gasp!! I was dischaged on the Saturday evening. No egg for me. Why is is my favorite? Because I wasn't as ill as the others, (some very ill) and the looks of anticipation and joy on their faces were priceless and unforgettable. Chocoalte rationing hadn't been long stopped. (And all the more for them, because my bed would be filled until Monday.)11KViews0likes0CommentsRe: [Prize Draw] Let us know about your favourite bargain
Number one tip for getting a bargain? Find something you actually NEED and want, then look around, you'll always get it for less or you can make an offer. The trick is to know you'll get endless use out of the item. Otherwise, it's just another impulse buy and not a bargain.12KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Data only SIM apn settings for mobile router
Thanks to all for trying to answer this. It's really hard to get Smarty Tech to understand that it's not a phone I'm setting up but a router on a data only SIM. I think I'll try the spare mobile idea, as I'm getting a bit fed up with Smarty and this might be the last few months I bother with them.56KViews2likes1CommentRe: [Prize Draw] Let us know about your favourite bit of tech
My Fire tablet is the tech I value and use the most (apart from my faithful refurbished laptop - I'm ancient). I can listen to audiobooks, because I can't hold a book to read anymore, and I can get messages, make calls, and do all sorts of stuff which I need and want to do to make life good. pop in a bag and haul it around with me. Easier to view than a phone. Classic device? A simple cheap computer which would be usable by everyone without worrying about being too tech-savvy. The old BBC computer was ideal. Raspberry pi didn't hack it for me. (I know it's a program but I'd also like to see a re-issue of Starfish which I used in the 90s for a diary, and all sorts - loved it). Future of tech? Making it possible to carry on with real life instead of being glued to a tiny screen. If I could have a removable hard disk instead of a brain that would be fantastic, but creepy.16KViews1like0CommentsRe: Using a router abroad
Thank you. Very kind of you to respond. I've been using a French router but stopped the contract (very good non-contract service but I was going to be away for a few months), and want to use my UK-unlocked one to fill in for a few days while I get a new French service when I go back. I'm going to give it a go. I reaiseI've got to configure the SIM for foreign use. All the best and thanks again!8.5KViews0likes1CommentUsing a router abroad
I have a router which I use in the UK and I want to use it abroad. I understand the principles (data limit, etc), but all advice talks about phones. Can I assume this includes routers too? This may sound naive, but can someone just confirm it? ThanksSolved8.5KViews0likes6Comments
