My what’s app calling won’t work from Jordan. I’ve topped up additional add ons & changed the mobile data network. Any ideas why it’s not allowing me to call. Messages and video/photos being sent through no problem

This is the Smarty community forum, we are customers just like you.
When you say that you have changed the mobile data network, do you mean the APN to “mob.asm.net” ?
Are the messages and videos being sent through WhatsApp too ?
Have you saved phone numbers in international format, +447xxxxxxxxx ?
I wonder if you are using a VPN and that is causing issues ?
If you have an iPhone, try FaceTime video or FaceTime audio calls, as those go through Apple servers and there is no charge. I make daily FaceTime calls to the USA from here in England and there is no charge, due to those calls going through apple’s servers.
EDIT : WHATSAPP CALLS ARE BLOCKED IN JORDAN :
https://www.quora.com/Is-WhatsApp-call-blocked-in-Jordan
“YES, WhatsApp call is blocked in Jordan. I just confirmed it today that people in Jordan neither receive nor make calls via WhatsApp except audio notes only. The better alternative is to install Telegram, Facebook messenger, Imo and other approved medium of communications particularly in Jordan.”
Download Telegram and get your contacts to do it too.

Further update :
”. Internet service providers (ISPs) continue to block internet calling services (VoIP) on popular apps such as Viber, WhatsApp, and Skype, in defiance of Jordan’s telecommunications regulator. Millions of Jordanians who rely on the services to do business and communicate have been unable to access them since 2015.”
