I have been unable to make or receive calls since yesterday.
I can send and receive txt msgs. I can access the internet. I can make and receive Whatsapp calls. Etc.
I am in London NW4.

The timing of this looks to coincide with when Three (Smarty's parent network) switched off 3G in your area, so I'm guessing your phone may not be compatible with their VoLTE (4G calling). See this link: https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/8985136-checking-if-your-device-is-4g-volte-compatible

This sounds a LOT like the 3g- switchoff. Does your device have VoLTE? I had exactly the same thing occur to me yesterday and had to go through some extreme lengths to get it to work. I'll write this up shortly for my phone.
Something you may be able to do is force-use 2G and get calls over that (if there is service in your area). What phone do you have?

Three do not have any 2G coverage, so unfortunately that isn't an option.
