The Social trarriff is way too expensive for those that are on Universal Credit as mict have to pay a large portion out on rent top ups and utilities £12 per month I consider a too higher chunk to pay out and is more expensive than most other plans already in place , £5 per month I think in my view would be an accessible amount .

@SarahFis_800983 Yes, I understand but then why would they need to undercut everyone else? In most Smarty plans, the cost of just the calls & texts is costed at £5 per month.

@SarahFis_800983 Take a look at this web page: https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-and-broadband/saving-money/social-tariffs I don't see any provider offering £5 per month.
There is always the option to take a £7 plan currently and this will give you 24Gb for necessary use.
