Hi @Emmanue_1314571

SMARTY does not officially support SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls. While some users have reported success using SIP with SMARTY, it's not a guaranteed or officially supported feature. SMARTY's network uses CGNAT, which can cause issues with maintaining the necessary connections for SIP to function properly.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • SMARTY's stance:
SMARTY explicitly states that they do not support VoIP devices or services.

  • CGNAT limitations:
SMARTY uses Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT), which can interfere with SIP's ability to maintain a persistent connection.

  • Possible workarounds:
Some users have reported that tweaking SIP settings, like using a shorter SIP OPTIONS interval, can help. However, this is not a guaranteed solution.

  • Alternative VoIP solutions:
If you need VoIP, you may need to explore alternative providers or consider using a service like Skype that offers virtual numbers and VoIP capabilities.

  • Mobile data and VoLTE:
SMARTY does support VoLTE (Voice over LTE), which allows for voice calls over the 4G network, but this is a separate technology from SIP.

    Hope this helsp x
