Roaming and data charges in the EU

I think the 12gb limit for EU roaming is unfair, if you’ve paid for 40gb (as I have) you should be able to use it freely

@GordonBa_949757  In that case, you would need to find a network that allows you to use 100% of your data for EU Roaming.

I think you may struggle with that one.

The thing I that there is an EU agreement on this: https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/internet-telecoms/mobile-roaming-costs/index_en.htm

If you were permitted to use all of your data plus unlimited calls and texts then some people might choose to buy a UK sim while living in anEU country if they found it cheaper. I don't think that UK networks want that type of business - a number of them already operate in EU countries and probably get more money out of customers there.
