Reactivation of an expired number

I previously had a plan which as I hadn’t renewed since last September had been deactivated and my account closed.

I have recently been invited to rejoin and offered to re-purchase a plan.

I am interested in doing so but wonder if the reactivated plan would still be on my old account and most importantly, on the same telephone number as previously.

(Interestingly, although my account was closed, I have beennable to log in with my old details.)

thank you.

Hi @EricSci_2725601 your SMARTY account will stay paused for a maximum of 6 months--in which time you can return and continue using your same phone number.

However, if you exceed those 6 months without renewing, the account gets terminated (we send you notifications throughout this time letting you know what to do to keep your number active), this includes the phone number that was associated with the account.

You can re-join via the same log in details after this 6 month period, but it will be a brand new SIM plan with a different phone number.

Thank you for the comprehensive explanation.

I will order a new sim and stillnuse my existing log in.

@EricSci_2725601  Once a sim is deactivated, I believe that the numbers are recycled after a few months.

If your account still shows the number you had, there is a chance that it has not yet been recycled. Best way is to have a web chat with Smarty Support for them to check.

(I suppose you could also ring that old number to see if someone else now has it)
