Trying to get the PUK Code from an Indian call centre is like pulling hens teeth he was adamant the default pin code of 0000 was the PUK CODE, Needless to say have just wasted 2 hours of my life without being any further in what should be a simple process.

Anyway have looked on packaging and there is on there is sim number and phone number.

Anyone have any idea how I can speak to someone as the chat bot is useless.

@MGLeon  Have you definitely locked the sim by wrongly entering the PIN too many times? If so, you do need a PUK code. Please see: https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/1159752-getting-and-using-a-puk-code

Yes, but unlocked it now with a PUK CODE after 36 hours and third attempt, first they gave me the default pin of 0000 which I didn't ask for then they gave me a PAC Code again which I didn't ask for then finally on third attempt I got the PUK CODE.

Was very stressful for what is a simple request, oh and thats after arguing over my date of birth which they said was wrong despite that piece of info being hardwired on my forehead.

All very well and good using an Indian Call Centre if it works but it doesn't very well, and those call centre employees need more training then just maybe issues can be resolved quicker free up time so more can use it.

@MGLeon  May be worth checking that your DoB was correctly recorded when you set up the account.

I agree that it can be stressful dealing with that team - I had a dose of it myself yesterday over something simple!

Using offshore cll centres is one of the ways that companies keep costs down. If you insist on a UK centre (assuming you can find a company that actually has one), your monthly plan is likely to cost more.
