@Laraine_2638019 There are scammers trying different angles all the time. I suspect that they dial random numbers via an auto-dialler - you may notice a slight pause when you answer - if someone answers then they know they have a real number to try and scam in some way.
I'm pretty sure Smarty cannot do much about this and there is no phone customer service.
You could try changing your number and then only answer calls from numbers you recognise. There is a risk of missing important calls if a number is withheld though e.g. doctors surgery.
