Hi all
I am going on holiday next month in a non-EU destination so it doesn't make sense to keep my plan running for the month during which I can't use it anyway.
However I have a special offer (20GB data instead of 5GB), if I cancel auto renew, when I come back will I definitely still continue this offer when I resume the plan?

Hi @kf1
If you stop the auto-renew for your plan it will be cancelled, and your account closed, 1 month after your last payment.
If this happens, then you will lose your number and the plan, you are currently on, may no longer be available.
If you get back from your holiday before the end of the cancellation date then is it really worth stopping payment? Is the plan ยฃ really that significant compared to the holiday costs?
Have you checked out the SMARTY Roaming charges for non-EU travel?
h t t p s://smarty.co.uk/roaming?srsltid=AfmBOorag_GYSnrWdUPUhhEGDlVSIBpqjUKI-pnxCDuUe0t9fuxrhu43
(remove the spaces between h t t p s)
It may be worth just paying the ยฃ for the time you are away compared to the hassle of having to inform/update everything and everyone who has your current contact number (friends, family, doctors, dentists, websites, suppliers etc.), as you will lose it if your plan is cancelled, but you also may not get the same/similar plan to what you have now.
Hope this helps x

That isn't how it works. SMARTY's own information states you can have your SIM 6 months/220 days with no plan and your number will stay.

Of course it's only a small amount of money but there is no point in me paying for something I'm not using when it's litterally a selling point of SMARTY to be able to pause your plan and resume when you like. There won't be any issue updating numbers etc and I have no plans to use my phone abroad because the non-EU roaming charges are excessive.
My question is specifically, when I resume my plan according to the instructions on their site, will I get the offer I have or will it be lost, which isn't fully clear...
