Not the 1st time 

Smarty took my money but hours later still no internet connection

Have you checked your dashboard, to confirm that you have activated your SIM card ?

Your first month wont commence until your SIM card has been activated. So, although you have paid £20 in advance for your first month, until your SIM is activated, be that today or Christmas day, your first month wont commence until then, and no further money will be taken until your second month of using Smarty commences. 

In what device are you trying to use your SIM, a 4G or 5G capable smartphone or a router, intending to use the router for mobile / home broadband ? Is your device unlocked, to be able to use a Smarty SIM card ?

Are you in the UK or overseas ? If overseas, the APN in your device needs to be changed to 'mob.asm.net'. Consult your device manual, the Smarty guides or google to discover how to do this.

As you say this isnt the first time you have encountered this situation, can you remember how it waa successfully resolved before ?
