No signal on Smarty SIM in MiFi

I have an awful BT Wi-Fi signal at home and regularly upload a large number of event photographs to my website. 

I can’t upload the photos from home (have to go where I can get fibre) so purchased a data only SIM from Smarty which I’ve inserted in an LGE mifi device in the hopes that I can upload the photos remotely wherever the event is being held.

I have full WiFi, but no internet signal.  I checked the Smarty signal before purchasing and it’s down as excellent for my postcode, although the network coverage isn’t as good due to a large amount of traffic.

Does someone have experience of why I’m unable to connect to the internet as this is really frustrating?

@TeresaO_2891805 I think that you may have answered it yourself.

If there is congestion on the mast, you will not get good speeds.

The checkers are only indicative and you cannot guarantee speeds unfortunately.
