Line trouble with call centres

This problem has been ongoing now since I joined Smarty over a year ago, it's persisted through two phones (Samsung A52 5G and S23) and multiple SIM cards (in an attempt to solve the problem).

Basically when I call a call centre, usually with an 0345 number, they can't hear me and say my line is breaking up however I can hear them absolutely fine. They can hear bits of what I say but it's intermittent and makes it impossible to give them a policy number etc related to the call, let alone talk to them. They can hear enough that usually I can ask them to try call me back and then once they do the line is absolutely pristine.

The question is what would be causing this? I have asked Smarty a couple of times via text chat and they ultimately tell me it's not a problem with the network. The only constant in my situation has been Smarty as I've used two different phones and multiple SIMs and keep having the issue. My partner is also on Smarty and she doesn't get the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated, this seems to happen both through the normal mobile network and WiFi Calling but I never have any issues with apps such as WhatsApp or directly calling another mobile number.

Thanks

I have this issue also. It's a pain constantly repeating myself. To me I think it's network related in the way the number is routed. I think I may have a possible workaround which is force phone to use 3g thus rendering emergency calls only on screen. Then make sure wifi calling is on. Then call a call centre. This forces the phone to use wifi calling. My phone won't use wifi calling as the 4g/5g signal is so strong, the phone uses that mobile signal instead.

@LeeBenn_1569889 I have occasionally experienced the problem in contacting 0345 numbers (and others that work via internet telephony). If I leave it and try again after a short while, it has always connected without problem.
