@jamesbi_3142579 You are not writing to smarty staff here; we are forum members  - customers like you.

If you joined and took out a new product that you do not want, you have a 14 day cooling off period and can ask for a refund of anything unused. Otherwise, it seems that you now have two accounts with a sim on each (one full, one data only). If you do not renew the data sim plan (cancel the auto-renew on account dashboard0 it will deactivate that sim after a total of 220days

Thank you for your reply, what i did exactly was took out a new sim for my mobile & got rid of O2.

Then i decided to take out a data sim for my router & pc but never got that sim but they took the money out of my bank for the first month & trying to talk to anyone about it here is a night mare.

@jamesbi_3142579 If you cannot get a response via the web chat, raise a Complaint.

I have put a complaint in,they seem to be playing for time,i could sort this out on the phone in 5 minutes, but can`t get to speak to anyone maybe that`s the idea!

@jamesbi_3142579 Having staff answering phones is a more costly exercise and that is why Smarty do not do it.

Ok fine i won`t be here long then.

@jamesbi_3142579  That's a bit unfortunate. Presumably ll is well with the standard plan in your phone.

Presumably Smarty can see that you have never activated the data sim, so it shouldn't be a problem. Are you sure it's not just that it is taking them a while to process a refund - did they even refuse one?

I have activated my sim for my mobile it is the data sim that i have not activated & i won`t be either.

@jamesbi_3142579 Yes, that's what I understood from your post. So when you ask for a refund, it's for a sim that you paid for but have not activated - have you made that clear and also are you within 14 days as that is an automatic cooling off period?

I could not make this any clearer for a child to understand time will be running low on any cooling off period but maybe that`s how they operate taking our money.😫

@jamesbi_3142579  If you take that rude and ungracious stance towards people who are trying to assist you, then goodness knows how you treat those whom you perceive are not trying to help you! Perhaps only children will understand you!

Good luck with getting help with that attitude.
