Data being used while on WiFi
Per title- my data keeps getting swallowed up even though I'm using my home wifi. I'm on a grandfathered £5 /month pack with just 500mb data, and recently I've been seeing my data consumed warnings popping even though I'm sat on my home wifi... Is there a setting or something for preferred data source (Android/pixel 9)? This is a recent problem and it had never been like this previously.
Significant deterioration in Three network coverage in E1W (London) over the last 2–3 weeks
Could someone at Smarty please ask Three to investigate why network performance in the E1W area has deteriorated so significantly over the last 2–3 weeks? The connection is now dropping frequently, making it virtually impossible to work reliably. When I check the network status, I get the following explanation: “There is, at times, heavy usage in this local area. As a result, you may experience varying data speeds depending on how many customers are connecting to our network via your closest mast. We’re always working to improve our network and aim to provide the best experience possible.” However, the connection was working much better before this recent deterioration. This suggests that something may have changed with the local mast or network equipment, or that there is now a capacity or technical issue that needs investigating. Simply attributing the problem to heavy local usage doesn't explain why the service has suddenly become so much worse. Surely a network should be able to cope with normal fluctuations in the number of users without connections repeatedly dropping to the point where the service becomes unusable. Could Smarty please escalate this to Three's network team and ask them to investigate the specific cause, rather than just provide the generic network status response? It would also be helpful to know whether any faults, maintenance work or capacity issues have been identified in the E1W area, and what is being done to resolve them. Thanks.
Network Failure
Since Friday 2-Oct where I live Perton W-ton) I have had practically no service, phone calls texts & data! No explanation has been given as to what is going on other that some vague reference to maintenance (We're fixing an issue in this area at the moment and aim to have things back up-and-running as soon as possible. We're sorry for any disruption this may cause and will add any further updates here.) This applies to Smarty and Three but not apparently Vodaphone whose service remains just fine. I have had two accounts with you for well over five years and feel very disrespected by the failure to explain what is going on. Why won't any one explain what is going on or should I leave Smarty (three) I have spent over an hour trying to get this published!
Quite possibly the worst network I've ever used in the UK
This network is legit the worst network I've ever used I have to constantly toggle airplane mode to reset the connection how are you charging for non existent internet I live in the Worcestershire District and your service is abysmal constant disconnects when I took a trip to Scarborough you literally have 0 service there too lol but it doesn't matter where I am in the UK your service is absolutely terrible I am also with three broadband and they are much better than you and your both the same thing almost 😂 it's honestly time I leave I been with you for a year because I don't switch to pay more but at this point I feel like I'm paying for nothing anyways is that why prices are unbeatable because your service is unbearable? Doesn't matter what phone I use where I am on the UK your service will always remain the poorest weakest network I've ever used think it's time your CEO builds more towers lol I don't know just brainstorming ha . Either 3 things are happening to me Your throttling my connection Your service is just over capacity which shouldn't be the consumer that suffers Or your network is basically trash 🗑️No internet - - technical issues?
We have returned to our caravan where we have a Huawei mobile router. I had renewed my plan but cannot get any internet - it flashes to Green and then off. Customer support say. There have been reports of people having problems and they are working on it but nothing yet. Is anyone else having a problem? I don’t think it’s my router as that always works well.
Wi-Fi access continual issues
I make no changes to the location of my portable modem with my unlimited data SIM. It has been working fine for years until recently. It keeps failing to work. I am unable to access any WiFi and have to keep tapping into my phone data. What is going on? Can anyone advise please?Dodgy visit from FREE in France
Dodgy visit from FREE in France. I am in France, in second home. I notice our mobile network when roaming is FREE, both for my wife and myself. We had a visit from an "engineer" from "FREE" wanting to install a FreeBox for our WiFi. He wanted to come into our house - refused. We requested his paperwork - none. Told him we are on Orange here. I can't get to someone in Smarty to see if FREE are a recommended network supplier for roaming. If so I would report this. Any way I can actually talk to someone in Smarty because I need to discuss this with them.? Thanks, Ian
