Significant deterioration in Three network coverage in E1W (London) over the last 2–3 weeks
Could someone at Smarty please ask Three to investigate why network performance in the E1W area has deteriorated so significantly over the last 2–3 weeks?
The connection is now dropping frequently, making it virtually impossible to work reliably. When I check the network status, I get the following explanation:
“There is, at times, heavy usage in this local area. As a result, you may experience varying data speeds depending on how many customers are connecting to our network via your closest mast.
We’re always working to improve our network and aim to provide the best experience possible.”
However, the connection was working much better before this recent deterioration. This suggests that something may have changed with the local mast or network equipment, or that there is now a capacity or technical issue that needs investigating.
Simply attributing the problem to heavy local usage doesn't explain why the service has suddenly become so much worse. Surely a network should be able to cope with normal fluctuations in the number of users without connections repeatedly dropping to the point where the service becomes unusable.
Could Smarty please escalate this to Three's network team and ask them to investigate the specific cause, rather than just provide the generic network status response? It would also be helpful to know whether any faults, maintenance work or capacity issues have been identified in the E1W area, and what is being done to resolve them.
Thanks.

VS_2907545 I think filing a complaint is the only way to make yourself heard: Submit a complaint | SMARTY. Select 'Network issue' and type your issue in. You receive an Email reply in a few days (it took me 6 days when I made a complaint) and you reply to the Email to respond back.
If the issue isn't resolved in 6 weeks, they send you an Email saying you can take it to the Communications Ombudsman and escalate your issue further.
And finally, you can always switch out to another provider not using Three (and maybe Vodafone too) as the network, so either EE or O2.
