RCS chat stuck on "setting up"
As the title reads, my RCS chat for Google Messages has been stuck on "setting up" since getting my Smarty SIM and porting my old number to it. There was a brief period where I had both new and old SIM cards in the phone (S22) as I needed data but also needed to be contactable while I waited for the port to finish but it's just the Smarty SIM now in slot 1. I've tried all of the usual steps such as clearing the data for messages and carrier settings, restarting, etc but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions before I give up? Does anyone know how to contact Smarty to resolve service outages? we have been without data service for 6 days with no ability to find out what is going on or how long we can expect no internet service. their network checker just says there is a problem and we are fixing it as quickly as possible. Seems odd to me when they are using 3 mobile towers and our phones are with 3 mobile without any issues
iCloud Private Relay
I have been with Smarty for a couple of years. Today for the first time I have started getting messages pop up on my iPhone telling me "Your mobile plan doesn't support iCloud Private Relay: To access the internet with this provider, you need to turn off Private Relay. Turning off Private Relay means this provider can monitor your internet activity and your IP address will not be hidden". I don't know too much about whether this important or not, but I am confused about why this has just started today. Has anyone else had this issue, and is there anything I can do to continue to use my phone internet with private relay?
Constant Poor Service
I joined Smarty as they said they provided a good service in St David's Pembrokeshire (SA62 6RR). They lied as since I have been here I have consistently poor service, less that 1 m/b, using 4G and numerous outages. All their service status checker says is we are working an issue or there is heavy usage on the mast near me. Smarty sort out your network and it's availability as it sucks.
