As a family, we currently have 3 Smarty sims in mobile phones, and are very happy with the service and reliability. I am considering changing our broadband usage to a sim router, and a SMARTY sim seems an obvious choice, but I have concerns over the 8 device tethering warning stated in paras 5.15 and 5.16 of the T&C's. We are not massive data users, and the current 200 Gb/ month offer should be more than enough, but have up to 12 devices that could link to wifi, including our phones, Echo devices and smart TV. Is this likely to trigger a suspension/ termination?Solved1.3KViews0likes2CommentsDre 806
It’s currently 12:53pm 29/4/2026. I haven’t been able to make or receive a single call for over 24 hours. All my phone settings are as they should be, I have even put my sim into another phone and same issue.. This is a constant issue with UC Smarty. My data is working fine and I can make calls through WhatsApp, FaceTime, and other apps that use WiFi or internet to make calls. However, when people call my phone it says my number is no longer available. I have serious calls I need to make that I cannot. I am also waiting for important calls which can lead to legal repercussions if I’m am unable to speak to the person attempting to contact me. There is no way to contact anyone from smarty, no way to get a response from a real person as opposed to a BOT or AI and as usual there is NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN GIVE A SOLUTION for similar issues. How will this problem be fixed. When will it be fixed. Will I receive any repayments for not being provided with a service I am paying for?18Views0likes1CommentThe overall Network Up And Download Speeds
Did the overall network uploads and downloads get worse for anyone else after the 'improvements', that started on I think Thursday or Wednesday prior to this post, concluded? Did they even conclude? I'm confused, because I swear my speeds have greatly diminished. They were awesome prior to these... 'improvements'. The network checker is telling me that 'their system hasn't reported any network issues.'. Before I was getting I think around 70 to 100mbps download or something like that, and around 15 to 17mbps uploads or maybe 20. The uploads seem to be around that area again, but the downloads, they're at like, 5-20mbps now. Not sure if it's something on my end, or if I'm not alone in this. Things seem unusual at the moment.53Views0likes1CommentRegret getting Smarty..
Since I installed a Smarty esim I've had nothing but issues. I can't sign into some apps.. specially Booking.com which I'm using all the time. I've reinstalled apps, reset network settings, etc. until I'm blue in the face but no luck. This connection is very erratic a d unreliable. It also drains the s24 battery at an alarming rate.. even after switching to 4g. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.64Views0likes1CommentSIM disconnected
This has happened across two phones And across e sim and physical Sims. I can be in an area I know has signal Not overly crowded or built up etc Then suddenly a ! Will appear next to my signal bar While it still claims to have 4 or 5 g signal But I don't have any signal I have to go into my phones settings and switch the SIM on and off again to get it to work. Never run out of data etc anyone else have this issue or just me ? Getting frustrating having to do this daily now54Views0likes2CommentsNo signal - terrible experience
The past 3/4 months I’ve had the worst experience with Smarty, looking at posts from 2022 I can tell it’s an ongoing issue. I no signal in or around my home in North London. I’m constantly turning my data on and off for two minutes of consistency. I contacted Smarty and they said it’s a mast issue with no timeframe on when it would improve. I think it’s totally unacceptable to pay for such an unreliable service. DAILY I HAVE NO STABLE DATA AT ALL whilst working from home. They offered me £4.60 compensation to my next bill but I’ve requested my PUK and I’m moving networks. The customer service are like robots, I guess they have a script and are just doing a job but they can’t do anything. I feel bad because I made my family move over when I first joined because I thought it was reliable and affordable but I’d rather pay more for another network with reliable service in my area. If they can’t promise stable network in an area LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE. I feel cheated. DON’T WAIT AROUND FOR SMARTY TO IMPROVE. CHANGE NETWORKS IMMEDIATELY. Don’t be like me and waste £20 each month for a few hours of data a day when I’m out and about only to come home and have nothing.110Views1like3Comments
