merger

I was contacted today by a certain number stating that Smarty is trying to move their customers to Three network and that my sim will be blocked and a new sim will be sent to my address. They tried getting my personal information, account information and card information. But I refused to provide my card information to them. Can anyone confirm this information as true or false because I’m so puzzled83Views1like2CommentsJoining up with the Vodafone network
I recently read that the Smarty/Three network will join up with the Vodafone network and switch between the two depending on which signal is stronger. This is great news as I've had bad reception in my area. After doing some research on https://bidb.uk/ it shows that the Vodafone network is the best in my area and covers most places I go to such as work. Will we get any messages when this will done in my area?174Views0likes1CommentThe group plan 'upgrade'
To make sure I understood, if I want to change to mix group plan of 16gb / £7.2, I have to give up my 24gb / £7, which I use now? Therefore pay more and get less, just so I can be....in a group? It seems that when you change to group plan - which would be great to manage entire family - you also have to choose different plans. Am I seeing right? Any one else noticed the decline in data speeds and reliability since the merger. Smarty outages are now lasting days instead of hours, 2 - days now with less than 2Mbs, sometimes drops to 0.5Mbs on 4G - upload speeds are fine at 20Mbs. I used to get 70Mbs download even on 4G+. Three as always says work on going but Smarty only sends you to the community, not sure they have a customer service portal.204Views2likes2CommentsURGENT: SMARTY is failing now, time to move to ID
Compare Smarty to ID on here: https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/ Smarty is honestly terrible. ID offers so much more on the same network for the same price. They offer more data per £, data rollover, more EU countries access, 30GB EU Roaming (18 more than Smarty), e-sim for Watches, 3 months of Apple TV + Music. It is a no-brainer to switch now, Smarty has lost it's game sadly.883Views0likes2CommentsThree and Vodafone Merger Approved by CMA - Good News?
I just received an email saying that the merger between Three and Vodafone has been approved by the Competition and Markets Authority. Vodafone are a very expensive operator. Will this mean the end of the great value packages that Smarty offer? I hope not!3.9KViews0likes11Comments
