Take a 4-way UK extension lead. Not only do you get 4 sockets for rooms that might just have one, plus you only need 1 adapter for the extension lead, and you can plug your UK plugs straight in.

Check if your credit/debit card can be used abroad, and if so use this as often as possible for payment. You will get a much better exchange rate, and it is safer than carrying cash with you

Take a handheld battery fan with you, not just great at keeping you cool but when the kids food comes out and it’s too hot, just pop the fan on the food for a couple of minutes and it’s the perfect temperature and the kids are happy and fed quicker!

The best hack I have found is early planning for a getaway. Preparing months ahead of the getaway gives one a lot of options and relieves one of the pressure to make hasty decisions, as you can shop around for the best deals available.

Save on rip-off hold and overhead luggage charges by instead filling the biggest carry-on bag allowed by the airline. Take a light jacket with lots of pockets to stuff with any excess. It's amazing what you can pack this way. Buy essentials like toothpaste when you get there. Still much cheaper than baggage costs.Laundry detergent will take less space than clothes, which will dry quickly in the heat. Learn how to roll clothes up tightly to get the most in. Treat yourself with your savings not the airline!

• Go for all inclusive packages so you don't have stress about where to eat.
• Exchange your currency at local money exchange shop, instead off the airport as you will get a better rate
• Look at the weather a week in advance so you can pack accordingly.
• If taking kids along look for child free places so you can save money on holiday.
• Pack some sun lotion and take along a multi pin charger
• Email all your travel documents to yourself so you can access it when required.

• Find airlines that offer bigger luggage allowances, So you can bring back more stuff on your return.

😉🏖

When visiting a country outside of your phone's roaming area. So you don't get horrendous bills, buy a local SIM card. Most countries do just data only and top ups as well. It's an advantage to have a dual SIM card slot as this makes it even easier. I've done this numerous times when holidaying in the Philippines.

Make a complete and detailed itinerary of your trip, search in advance for free tourist locations and activities, find local dinings that are not too expensive but will surely make you experience a local taste and be ready with your internet data (should be roaming included) so you can always look at your phone and search for details if needed.
