Re: Switzerland charges
Hello from ex Swiss. So YES, last time I went home to Switzerland I was troubled to find that SMARTY no worky. How upsetting. If you were a Three customer then this is the price scale Essential_Plan_price_guide_170517.pdf (three.co.uk) And you will notice that Switzerland is treated more favourably in this scenario. Normally CH gets full EU benefits, we (in the UK) certainly give them these rights for entry etc. Just that SMARTY does make the distinction.6.2KViews0likes1CommentRe: Dubai useage
If you follow the SMARTY forums you will see that nobody at SMARTY seems to be indicating eSIMs will be available at all. This is a tragic situation and blends in annoying well with the poor support of eSIM by most of the UK telecoms carriers. I never recommend SMARTY to any international friend visiting the UK for that reason. Especially US users arriving with iPhones which dont now have physical SIM slots. Hmm.6.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Enough is enough - eSIM *now*
eSIM adoption in the the UK is still mediocre in 2023. Quite a disgrace. Three has had a long history of not offering eSIMs. When anybody asks me for a carrier that can I have to say: I'd like to recommend SMARTY but this far nothing, and Three, well it's complicated. SMARTY has a pretty compelling package, it's really a tragedy that they don't see the value in eSIM. When you visit a country that /gets it/ you realise that eSIMs are just the way to go, SIMS can be delivered electronically, no messy paperwork and sluggard delivery times, no physical SIM to cut or chop or lose, or get stuck in a SIM slot. What are we all waiting for UK Telecoms. SMARTY should volunteer to be part of the solution not the problem. shame shame shame48KViews2likes3CommentsRe: Enough is enough - eSIM *now*
If you work in telecoms you know that traditionally the US is far far behind the UK in telecoms adoption, but not in eSIMs preincipally thanks to apple. Trying to argue that we are about as bad as the USA (which isnt accurate by the way) re eSIMs just diminishes your credibility32KViews0likes0CommentsRe: We are refreshing our tariffs to offer more choice, more data, and more value for money.
I am a SMARTY advocate and supporter but regarding your pricing structure ... I have a need for another sim for a tablet, its data only therefore. can you explain why this is more expensive that its companion phone sim. that sounds entirely wrong. I was looking at 40GB data plan which is 13GBP. Lo and behold the 40GB Voice plan including voice is only 10 GBP. Can you explain Mr/Ms Smarty? thanks, w18KViews1like0Comments
