Hi there, I just got my Smarty SIM yesterday and got it all up and running. I intend to move my number over at some point, however the internet speed is currently unusable, I'm talking 0.04MPS ! This was the case until late last night as it suddenly went right up and was fine, could even stream 4K on it, and this morning it was okay, but now back to being unusable (using my old network to write this). The network status online does say there is an issue in my area and they are working on it.
So my question is, in peoples experience, when the status says this, is it actually true or can it stay like this for weeks/months ? I know it's not Smarty's fault and its the Three network, so not complaining, just trying to ascertain if this might be the norm or if it likely will get fixed soon. The reason I ask is I dont want to go through the hassle of transferring my number to Smarty only to find its an unusable service where I live.
This leads me on to my next question, as I obviously don't want to transfer until I know I can get a usable service, and am waiting to see if this is a temporary glitch, I am wondering how long a time period I have to transfer my number before I no longer can? Is it an indefinite period or do I have to do it within a certain amount of time after I activated my Smarty SIM?
Any help much appreciated and glad to be here ๐

Update: Still unusable. The connection is all over the place and today it's around 11k/s and so wont even load web pages. I am having to use my old GiffGaff account to connect. At night it can go up as fast as 5mbs. When I am in another area of the city it can go as fast as 20mps on a speed test, so its certainly an issue with the mast in my area. What's confusing is why does it go up late at night ? The network status still says fixing an issue in my area, that did change to "no issues detected" for a day, but the connection was still poor. Now its gone back to saying they are fixing an issue in my area. I am starting to think this will be the norm unfortunately, and so might have to look for another network provider. A shame as I like Smarty and the speeds are really fast in other areas, just not right where I live ๐
