This is an update to earlier mid-December postings on wi-fi calling that weren't then visible because of SMARTY problems.
I bought a Moto G54 recently wanting it for wi-fi calling. Thinking that as it was a modern phone (only came out last September) this would be OK. The manufacturer subsequently confirmed that it supports wi-fi calling. But on the SMARTY network it does not. I now know that because it is not on their list of wi-fi calling compatible phones SMARTY is not guaranteeing support, but it seems that often phones not on that list do work.
I need to have wi-fi calling on the G54 so I'll have to move on from SMARTY. Does anyone have advice about which network would definitely provide this, at a reasonable price? A lot of the networks don't include it in their compatible lists but I notice IDMobile does.

I have just bought a G54 but wondering (for other reasons to do with Smarty) whether it was a bad idea (more later). WiFi calling option is visible and enabled in settings. The WiFi calling icon (,top right of phone) is mostly NOT visible but if I put airplane on, have a strong Wifi connection and make a call, the call goes through and the wifi calling icon shows up top right - so to me it is working.
Now, my big issue. I bought the G54 last week as Smarty told me that my Moto G9 plus (3 years old) won't work when 3 G is turned off. Pushed for a reason, got referred to a list of unsupported phones and G9 plus was on it. Not happy but researched phones, seemed G54 supports VoLTE which Smarty says is needed, so bought it. G54 NOT on list of unsupported phones. However no way if turning VoLTE on or off and the word VoLTE does not get found in settings. It seems not all 5G phones are VoLTE. No idea if I have now bought a dud I cannot use with Smarty and experience says Smarty Customer Service would not even understand the issue.
