Hi,

I have a LG G7, I have changed my number to Smarty in October. It was working fine, I was making voice calls and receiving calls, but now calls do not work. I have done the network setting and APN as suggested here.

everything else works normally, SMS received, and all WIFI options works fine.

it just stop working making and receiving calls. Although I had made calls in the past.

Any suggestions in how to solve it?

My guess would be that your phone is not compatible with Smarty's VoLTE (4G calling), or VoLTE is not turned on in your settings. Previously your phone was most likely dropping down to 3G to make or receive calls, but 3G has now been switched off in most areas.

The G7 is not specifically on Smarty's list of incompatible devices, but the proof is in the pudding, so if VoLTE is switched on in your settings and calls are not working, I'd say the likelihood is it's not compatible with Smarty.

Hi @PabloBa_2873203

As @SmartyTrousers has mentioned, you need to have VoLTE turned on so that your phone can connect to the 4G network. VoLTE is necessary to be able to connect to all networks.
For your device you can check using these steps....

Enable Voice over LTE (VoLTE) on LG G7 One
  1. Tap the Settings app.
  2. Tap Network & Internet.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Advanced.
  5. Ensure Enhanced 4G LTE Mode is on (tap the switch next to it to enable)

Hope this helps x

Hi, not sure if your problem has been fixed yet, I have encountered the same problem yesterday and below is my solution. My phone is a Samsung so may not have the exact settings with your LG G7, but you may try if your phone has it.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Search for "reset".
  3. There should be an option says "Reset network settings".
  4. Tap "Reset network settings".
  5. Tap "Reset settings".
  6. Wait for a minute and there will be a pop up says "Network settings reset."
  7. Restart your phone.

After doing this, the voice call function should work.

*IMPORTANT: Please note that by doing this all your Wifi and bluetooth settings will be reset also, so it's better to back up any Wifi password needed and any paired bluetooth device will need to be paired again.
