Hi all.
I just wondered whether anyone had noticed the change in the signal and network availability etc since the announcement of Vodafone and Three opening up their respective networks to each other, including on Smarty?
I think on occasion I have noticed a change where I live (North Cheshire). Having been a Voda customer in the recent past, I know where their signal is strong and where it's not so great around my home town and surrounding areas, but Three is also really good in these areas too so any change hasn't been hugely noticeable. That said, I always have a good signal now it would seem which is positive.
I just hope that given Voda are the majority stakeholders in this new JV the better, stronger and faster Three signal isn't overridden by Vodafone's. That would be detrimental in my opinion and ultimately not improve people's experience. But early signs are good I would say.
I look forward to seeing how the network develops in the coming months and whether there are any brand changes too. I don't think Vodafone-Three roles off the tongue too well, personally. And when T-Mobile and Orange joined together, they became EE. I suspect something similar will happen too in time with the Three name perhaps becoming a casualty, but that's not important. The quality of the network has to be the priority.

Hi all, I have a group of Sims for data and one for calls and data for 2 years and have been happy - until now. As I type now my coverage at home has gone to zero - so cannot make or receive calls. Now and again one bar appears for a minute or two but soon disappears. This is also the case re calls at our meeting place 3 miles away. Both these are inside but have not tried outside yet. At the meeting place we use a smarty SIM for data and that works fine in the mobile WiFi device up to present . This is in the Burnley area - and as I said no problems till the last week or so.
