I bought a Smarty SIM and kept my old number, but my Google messages are using the Smarty supplied number.. Help

Have you changed your number in RCS Message settings? Go to messages, message settings, RCS chat. Turn them off, then back on again and then verify your number. I had to do this twice but worked eventually.
