Have you tried the following:
- Turn OFF iMessage (Settings > Messages).
- Turn your phone OFF for at least 10 minutes.
- Turn your phone ON and tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
If itโs not correct, please enter the correct number.
If you canโt enter the correct number, go to:
Apple ID > Name Phone Numbers, Email > CONTACTABLE AT in order to correct the number (initially delete old number, then go back in and insert the correct number). - Turn iMessage back to ON (Settings > Messages).
- Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under โStart new conversations from:โ.
If that fails, try doing a Network Reset as follows (applies to iOS 15+):
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Have you tried a NETWORK RESET @LorriWi_2402988?
The iOS user guide explains how to do this.
