Old Number Porting Unsuccessful

I have just activated my sim and received confirmation my old number has successfully ported. However when I didnโ€™t receive a text across my devices I was suspicious. My number in my IPhone 11 Pro is set to the random sim number sent. Iโ€™ve tried to change it to my old number and it wonโ€™t save. Keeps defaulting to random sim number. Tried turning phone on and off. No joy.

That doesnโ€™t mean your porting has been unsuccessful @SarahO_2715336 

You just have to go into the your iPhones settings and change the number - takes about 5 seconds.

* I AM assuming you have received confirmation via text and email from Smarty that your number has successfully ported from your old network.

EDIT : if you activated your Smarty SIM card today before 5 PM, your number wonโ€™t actually port until tomorrow, as porting takes one working day. 

 

Thank-you for trying to help.  I had tried this and it would not let me change the number.  However, a Network Reset, as advised by another member, has worked.
