Hi All,
So, tonight I went to log in to this Community site and, because I am not currently a SMARTY customer, I was asked to input a verification code to confirm my email/password. This is not new as every so often I have to do it but the phone number associated with the verification of my login WAS NOT MINE ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค
Instead of the last 2 numbers being '82' (as they should be and have been for many years now with regards to the verification process) they were '90'?!?!? The last time I was asked to verify my acount was on 14/09/24 and the code was sent to my phone so the mobile number connected to my email was correct.
Fortunately, I was able to access the Community page as I requested a verification code via email as these details were still correct.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
How has this happened?? My number (ending in 82) has always been associated with my email address for a long time now and only I have ownership of this email address so how come someone has been able to change the details?
I am now questioning the security of SMARTY, as I moved some time ago, as there should be NO account information held with them for someone to be able to change the contact mobile phone number associated with my email address!!๐
I was thinking about moving back to SMARTY but now I can't trust that my number and personal details won't be compromised (as they apparently already have been)!
So confused and yet annoyed by this!
