Hi all! My apologies as this is likely the 1000 time this has been asked. I just needed to clarify sorry, but as long as I have updated my phones access point details accordingly with mob.asm.net etc, all I need to do before travelling is to buy a £10/15 add-on and any allowance would come out of this? Is that correct? Apologies, but just need to check for my own peace of mind, so many thanks for any help! Ty!24Views0likes2CommentsSWITCH OWNER SIM IN SMARTY GROUP
I started a new (first) Smarty contract and received a number. I then started a group, adding a second sim I normally used, retaining the number on transfer from Tesco. However, when buying add-ons for my second sim, all smarty communications went to the first sim, which was left in the UK. Therefore, I couldn't complete a transaction as I could not access the first sim. As far as Smarty was concerned, all access and notications went through the first sim. My question is: how can I swap sim numbers to enable my second sim to be the LEAD Sim? Thanks42Views0likes1CommentStrange Roaming Charges outside EU.
I'm in Switzerland, so have an Out-of-Plan add on for me and my wife's numbers to cover usage there. At 1.00am on several days we both have a charge labelled "Call from". But with no information. Exactly 1:00 am each time. The first was for £6.44 (at a time we were in France, so should be covered by the inclusive EU roaming. Anyone know what these are? Or had the same issue?Solved51Views0likes3CommentsSmarty sim not working in Australia
Very disappointed that my Smarty Sim is not working in Australia. Didn’t realise, before travelling, it would be a problem and surprised when I got to Australia that I could only get an SOS mobile connection. My wife’s phone working fine on giffgaff and connecting to a local network. Then read all the related posts about problems people have had with Smarty in Australia. I have bought an Optus esim for data and calls/text (local and international) but still no way to access my calls to/from my usual uk number. If I had known in advance I would have forwarded calls to my uk number onto my wife’s phone before travelling but too late now. Hope Smarty sorts this out soon or I am off to another network.306Views0likes6Commentsroaming in USA cant I just buy a data package
Quick question, I just wanted to check something with you all about roaming in USA. With the other providers i have used in the past i always buy a "data package", e.g 10gb for £20. Am i right in thinking that Smarty dont so that, they ask you to add £5,10,20 "out of plan" add on, then you used data, calls etc at 10p meg until you run out of money. Is that right? there is no "data package" i can buy. Just want to make sure i buy the right package before i get a load of roaming charges.22Views0likes0Comments
