WhatsApp verification - EU
I am overseas (Greece) and have had to change my phone over, I re downloaded WhatsApp & I cannot receive the verification codes via SMS or calls, email is not an option. I've tried manually selecting the network but still doesn't work. I've received verification messages for other services all okay, such as FB, Instagram etc Meta accounts have linked to WhatsApp but it won't let me use them to log in, any other suggestions welcome.
WiFi calling switched on, APN settings to use my phone abroad all correct. Chatgbt suggested something with shortcodes?
Smarty chat help suggesting adding a small amount to add on to see if it bypasses the issue

Have you tried emailing smarty support? Maybe sorting out out of the device works..
Hey Sokos, its all sorted! I had spoken to Smarty and they suggested a few things,and then I went back through to Smarty (because even received sms from them verifying my account) So I was convinced it was a setting between WhatsApp & Smarty. I topped up my account as they suggested and it all worked :) WhatsApp verification message came straight through! But I was so baffled, because I was received ALL other verification sms just not WhatsApp. Anyway all fixed, the person on the chat was amazing!
