I recently moved to Smarty. I enabled an esim on my phone and ported a number from my previous network. The porting process was completed and the ported number is shown in the Smarty app. My issue is that when I send a text the recipient is shown as it coming from the original Smarty number. Phone calls appear to come from the ported number so the issue only appears to affect text messages. Can anyone tell me why I constantly have Service Status: Out of Service? I am a new Smarty Customer. In 23 days I have only been able to use my phone twice. This is on the same day as contacting Smarty. Everything works perfectly fine but the next day Service Status is back to Out of Service. Data is working very well so far. No problem there. It's like the phone sees the Network but is not authorised to use it. I cannot access my online banking as the code that is sent to SMS is not sent. I cannot call anyone nor can they call me. I have already missed 3 appointments because of this. I need to make a hospital appointment and can not do it. I am paying for an unlimited plan but only getting data access. I have been on live chat for hours trying to get a positive outcome. Although helpful and polite. Each Agent goes through the same series of things to do but it makes no difference. I can make WhatsApp calls but certain companies will only accept calling me on my mobile number which they cannot do. Please if anyone knows how to contact Smarty Technical Team or how to solve this I would be so greatful. My next payment is in 5 days time and after nearly a month. I am NOT getting the service I am paying for. Smarty will be able to see how many phone calls and text I have made. This is so stressful.58Views0likes3CommentsAnother day. No Service ๐ญ
Sadly, I am back again. Still having problems staying connected to the Network so that I can make receive calls etc. Is there a reason for this? Why can't I stay connected to the Network??? Now on day 22... Only had two days where I could make calls, receive call and get text including short codes. Now the Service Status is back to Out of Service. I am trying to be patient but it's not really fair to be paying for Unlimited data, calls and text and only get service for 2 days out of 22. So, can someone please explain why my phone number comes up correctly when I call yet on messages it has the temp number before my number was brought over from Vodafone to smarty? Hi everyone, I am at my wits end - my partner and I recently switched to SMARTY and chose to keep our old numbers. We have had notification that the port was successful and our old numbers have transferred however within โPhoneโ in iPhone settings our number is still showing as the temporary number provided by SMARTY. This is similar in FaceTime and iMessage and our current number (original number we kept) has disappeared. I have read numerous threads and tried the following but am now at a loss of what else to try: - Turning off iMessage and FaceTime and doing a network reset, waiting and restarting the phone. - Trying to change the number in โPhoneโ Any help massively appreciated ๐๐ป๐๐ป3KViews0likes8CommentsPorting Problem
Hi guys Just ported my EE number to my new Smarty account. Problem is that they have notified me that it has ported successfully but fact is that it has not. It still shows the old Smarty phone number on my phone settings and won't let me change it. Hi, My Daughter has been using Smarty mobile on an account set up in my name. Now that she's 18 she would like her own account. I see that I can't simply change the name on the account without providing deedpole or marriage certificates etc. So my question is if she opens her own account is it possable to port/transfer her number to it? i.e Smarty to Smarty?
