Smarty app
My old phone number successfully ported to Smarty last week and everything is working fine. But when I go into the app the number from the Sim is still recorded and I get a message saying porting of the number is in progress, which it's been saying for a week. Can anyone tell me what I need to do please? Thanks
Time to Activate SIM ?
My contract with another provider ends 26 December, so I'm planning my move to Smarty. If I were to buy a monthly SIM deal over the Black Friday weekend, would I be able to hold off from activating until nearer my current contract end date ? Was thinking maybe 15 December & then port my number over so it's all done before the Christmas holiday.
Changing mobile number - getting too many robo calls
Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to change the mobile number for one's account? Looks like my number has hit a robo call list and I'm getting 2/3 calls from Chinese robo callers per day. Would be be easier to just get a new SIM and close down the existing account?
New customer. NO Incoming or Outgoing calls
Hi I joined Smarty today and had my number ported across from my previous provider. At 13:16 I received an email to say that my port had been successful. During the afternoon most of the services slowly appeared. At this moment, I can send and receive texts ok, internet works ok, but - I cannot make or receive phone calls. I have just restarted my mobile and retested. It is now 19:25 - it looks like no phone tonight. Very disappointing Smarty. Not a good start. I'd be grateful for any help.
I can't find the chat
I want to ask about when my old number will be transferred to my new Smarty SIM. I see lots of references to the Chat option, but I can't get it to initiate. It just brings up pre-written answers. So does anyone know how I get it to work? Or is there a way of finding out why my old number has not been transferred over? I'm not having the best of starts with Smarty.
New, no service after bringing old number over
Hi I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem. I'm new to Smarty and wanted to bring my old number over. My PAC code was sucessful. I received emails from the previous provider teling me my SIM was no longer active, as well as confirmation from Smarty that it was a success. I did not put the SIM into my phone until after the number was ported over, so I have never had service at all. After putting in the SIM, I have no service. Oddly, when I restart the phone, I have service for about a minute. Smarty shows as the operator in my settings. Then it disappears and I have no service again. I cannot make calls or recieve texts. When I contact Smarty over chat, told me to turn it on and off again, and to reset network settings. This doesn't do anything. They said maybe it will work after midnight. I have my doubts. I'm very concerned about not being able to be contacted and not being able to use 2FA. Please let me know if there's anything else I can try.
