So, can someone please explain why my phone number comes up correctly when I call yet on messages it has the temp number before my number was brought over from Vodafone to smarty? Hi everyone, I am at my wits end - my partner and I recently switched to SMARTY and chose to keep our old numbers. We have had notification that the port was successful and our old numbers have transferred however within ‘Phone’ in iPhone settings our number is still showing as the temporary number provided by SMARTY. This is similar in FaceTime and iMessage and our current number (original number we kept) has disappeared. I have read numerous threads and tried the following but am now at a loss of what else to try: - Turning off iMessage and FaceTime and doing a network reset, waiting and restarting the phone. - Trying to change the number in ‘Phone’ Any help massively appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻3KViews0likes8CommentsPorting Problem
Hi guys Just ported my EE number to my new Smarty account. Problem is that they have notified me that it has ported successfully but fact is that it has not. It still shows the old Smarty phone number on my phone settings and won't let me change it. Hi, My Daughter has been using Smarty mobile on an account set up in my name. Now that she's 18 she would like her own account. I see that I can't simply change the name on the account without providing deedpole or marriage certificates etc. So my question is if she opens her own account is it possable to port/transfer her number to it? i.e Smarty to Smarty? I am looking for some help or advice from the community as I am now stuck without data despite having a confirmed plan change scheduled for today. The Background: I raised a complaint (Ref: 34545993#1355880) weeks ago regarding plan issues. I received a formal email from a Customer Excellence Associate on Dec 1st stating that I was placed on the 60GB for 8 pound offer, which would take effect from my next renewal date on 29/12/2025. The Issue: Today is Monday, 29th December. My previous plan has expired and shows 0KB left. However, the 60GB plan has NOT activated. Even though my Manage Plan screen clearly shows the 60GB/8 pound plan as a Scheduled plan change, the system is now asking me to manually renew or buy an add-on. The Proof: I have screenshots showing: My dashboard showing 0KB left and the reset date as today.[1] The email from SMARTY Complaints confirming the 60GB plan for today's date. [2] My Manage Plan screen showing the 60GB plan is correctly Scheduled but hasn't triggered.[3] This is the second month this has happened. I followed the instructions, waited for the reset, and the system has failed again. I am now without the service I was promised in writing. Has anyone else experienced a Scheduled Plan Change failing to trigger on the renewal date? How did you get it fixed without paying extra? I need help to understand why the update hasn't worked. I recently switched from Sky Mobile to Smarty and ported my existing number across. During the porting process, Smarty provided a new SIM. For about two days the SIM was active with its temporary number, and then my original Sky number completed the port and started working on the Smarty SIM. In that two-day window, four voicemails were left on my Sky voicemail box. I could not access them because I'd already moved to the Smarty SIM, and now that the number has ported those messages aren't accessible via Smarty voicemail. However, my iPhone Phone app is showing a persistent voicemail notification/badge (4 voicemails) that I can't clear. I believe the message waiting indicator (MWI) is stuck from the port. How do I reset/clear the voicemail notification / message waiting indicator (MWI) on my line so the iPhone stops showing 4 voicemails? Date the port completed: 16/12/25 iPhone model / iOS version iphone 13 Pro, los 26.2: I tried the following: (as advised by customer service) In notifications - turned off the Badge icon Got a friend to send me a voicemail, then deleted that message. Just order a SIM and tried to activate yesterday. The dashboard told me that it would happen in 2 hours and my old number will port on Monday. Activation didn't happen and a 4 hour web chat got me nowhere other than being told to wait as they are working in it. Still no progress today. Anyone else in the same situation?
