URGENT: SMARTY is failing now, time to move to ID
Compare Smarty to ID on here: https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/ Smarty is honestly terrible. ID offers so much more on the same network for the same price. They offer more data per £, data rollover, more EU countries access, 30GB EU Roaming (18 more than Smarty), e-sim for Watches, 3 months of Apple TV + Music. It is a no-brainer to switch now, Smarty has lost it's game sadly.795Views0likes2CommentsUnable to renew or change my plan
My package was expiring today and it wasn't on auto renew. Now I with app, all types of browsers, clearing cache and cookies as advised by helpline, different payment cards, I can not renew it or change it and unable o use any voice or data. Whenever I proceed with renew or change plan, proceed with payment, otp recieves from bank, but it never gets deducted and following error messages appears: "Sorry we couldn't process your request, check that you have completed each field correctly and try again" Very frustrating as can not use phone except on WiFi. Any solution? Thanks in anticipation.1.4KViews1like4CommentsRemove payment option
Does any one know how to remove a payment option? My account lists several debit cards I have used for payment in the past, as well as the current one. I want to remove these from the list (housekeeping) but I can't find how to do it. If I select one of these cards the app simply elects this as the preferred payment option. There seems no way to delete it.Solved13KViews3likes8Commentspayment issue
Hi I have just switched to Smarty and as soon as I had my number ported from my old network i found my plan paused. I went to renew my plan and make a payment and the site won't take any payment, debit card, credit card or even paypal. Anyone having the same issues?? Cheers7.6KViews0likes11CommentsRemoving Debit Card as method of Payment.
Hello Everyone I have just used WebChat but forgot to ask an important question. My financial situation has changed. I pay for my monthly allowance with my debit card and need to change this to PayPoint / barcode method. I was informed via WebChat I can top up at PayPoint and auto renewal will take the funds on the payment date. However, my debit card is still on my account (no funds in the account). My question is: will SMARTY attempt to take the payment twice: from the debit card and the top up funds? Should I remove my debit card from the account because it will no longer be used for payment (I have read on this site how to do this)? I have also been informed by WebChat that someone else can pay the allowance via their debit card if they have my account details to sign in (it's my brother so very trustworthy), but I would prefer to do this if I can. This idea is a last resort. Thanking you in advance.1.4KViews0likes6CommentsWanting to keep my number active while going abroad
Hi, I am going abroad for a year and coming back to the UK. So while abroad, I will not be using my SMARTY sim or number, is it possible for me to keep the phone number and sim active without paying for a plan for the duration of the year? Thanks!Solved1.1KViews0likes3CommentsAuto-Renewal Failure
Hi there My SMARTY plan has been on auto-renewal since I opened my account and has renewed every month accordingly, for well over a year. Today it failed to renew. I have tried twice to renew it manually this morning and each time I get an on-screen 'success' message, but never a confirmation email and the Dashboard continues to say my plan needs renewing. I bank with Barclays, there are funds available in the account and the payment card has not expired. My partner's account, which was originally set up a the same time & was also set to auto-renew today, has renewed just fine, but he banks elsewhere. It feels like there maybe a problem between SMARTY & Barclays this morning?13KViews3likes14Comments
