Pack light
23-07-2024 14:14 PM
Plan everything you want to do / try before you go. No need to book and fix days just make sure you have options to choose from, then you won't waste time trying to find things once you're there
23-07-2024 14:13 PM
Pack bare essentials and buy things on holiday that you really need
23-07-2024 14:14 PM
Pack light, hand luggage only and you'll feel more free.
23-07-2024 14:15 PM
Pack an outfit in your hand luggage. If the airport loses your cases you've still got something suitable to wear. It's happened to me before. Jeans and Jordans in 35° weather ain't fun!
23-07-2024 14:16 PM
Plan your outfits by days/activities to avoid over packing and roll your clothes inside packing cubes to really maximise space!
23-07-2024 14:16 PM
Pack your passport, credit card and mobile phone in a place you won’t lose them. Anything else you can buy if your luggage gets delayed or you misplace your bag, but those three things are something to ensure you keep close.

23-07-2024 14:16 PM
Check skyscanner/a flight marketplace with open dates and destination to bag a last minute unexpected bargain!
23-07-2024 14:18 PM
Plan outfits by day/activity so you only take what you need and roll clothes in packing cubes to maximise space. Amazon have a wide selection of cubes.
23-07-2024 14:18 PM
Always go with minimum (and cheapest) hand luggage for flights. No hold-up at the airport and you really don't need all that stuff!
23-07-2024 14:18 PM
Bring an empty reusable, lightweight thermos through the airport and on your travels - you’ll be able to decant cold water into it and have it ready to drink for however long you’re out and about 🙂
23-07-2024 14:20 PM
Pack your passport, credit card and phone somewhere safe and accessible. Anything else can be replaced if you lose your luggage or misplace your bag but those three things are essentials.
23-07-2024 14:20 PM
By making sure that my phone has enough data to capture ALL those special moments. Thank you SMARTY for making this possible so easily
23-07-2024 14:24 PM
Always do a free walking tour in a new city as early in your holiday as you can. It's a great way to get your bearings and the guide will always have great tips for things to see, places to eat etc
23-07-2024 14:25 PM
Definitely to vacuum pack anything soft. Travelling is so much easier with less luggage to haul around. And if you are really good with your packing you might be able to fot everything into a carry on bag and avoid hold charges completely 🙂

Hey there,
My holiday hack is to roll-up your clothing, especially those that are prone to creasing, rather than folding them as it helps to keep them clear of creases but also means to can save space and pack more items.
23-07-2024 14:27 PM
Go via the tunnel.
You can have up to 9 people in the car included in the price - no airport restrictions or faff - no baggage limits .... and France is a great place too.
23-07-2024 14:28 PM
Luxury hotels are usually cheaper if booked direct and in their local currency 😊 thank me later ❤️

My hack is to roll-up your clothes, especially those that are prone to creasing, as it helps to keep them crease-free and weirdly enough saves space, so you can pack more in your luggage.

Download offline maps, they can be a lifesaver🙌🏻
23-07-2024 14:34 PM
Go via the tunnel. Up to 9 passengers per car included in the price. No airport restrictions or hassle, no packing worries - take as much as you like.
And France is a great place to visit.

Plan a "staycation" by exploring local attractions and booking a nearby accommodation to create a vacation-like experience without traveling far. Theme your days with different activities, such as visiting parks, dining at new restaurants, and engaging in outdoor adventures. This approach allows you to enjoy a refreshing break while saving time and money.
23-07-2024 14:34 PM
Go long haul it's better value for money
23-07-2024 14:35 PM
Go long haul
23-07-2024 14:36 PM
Make sure you use sunscreen
23-07-2024 14:35 PM
Pack a multi gang extension cord you can charge all your tech using just one plug
23-07-2024 14:36 PM
Only pack what you can carry! You won’t have to waste time queueing at baggage claim, and you can get to adventuring straight away.
23-07-2024 14:36 PM
Traveling Off-Peak is my best hack.
By choosing to travel early or late in the summer avoids crowds and also finds great deals
23-07-2024 14:41 PM
Relax and Enjoy
23-07-2024 14:42 PM
Carrying universal adapters to avoid surprises
23-07-2024 14:42 PM
Don't worry be happy
23-07-2024 14:43 PM
When packing clothes, roll them up rather than fold to prevent creasing and save space 👌
23-07-2024 14:45 PM
Take a photo of your passport and other important documents like travel insurance, just in case these get lost or stolen
23-07-2024 14:49 PM
Leave in good time to get to the airport!
23-07-2024 14:53 PM
Leave plenty of time to get to the airport!
23-07-2024 14:55 PM
Check out local transport and attractions cards for cheap or free entry deals
23-07-2024 14:56 PM
For my hack is planning places to get something to drink and eat , followed by finding out about interesting things to visit and see. Final one is if they speak a different language learn at least the basics like hello, good day, good evening and goodbye (plus where is the nearest bathroom).
23-07-2024 14:56 PM
Pack light, remember to pack charger, adaptor and long lead in case no socket close to bed, get a bank card with no fees (eg Chase), to get best rates for purchases and ATMs, always paying in the local currency rather than sterling, and use your Smarty free roaming to research things to do, places to eat, to use Google maps etc. Try not to cram too much into a day and find a locals bar - better atmosphere, cheaper prices and a lot more fun than a bar aimed at tourists.
