Hi I am a brand new user to Smarty & 3. I purchased a new Unlimited Data Only sim as this was the best all round suggested for 4G & 5G in my area (Battersea London). I am using a new ZTE MF286D router, as again this was the best type advertised and also was said to be the same router 3 used when selling a mobile broadband package.
It is all set up and working, however, I am now quite disappointed to find that even though I am in the middle of London and in a full 3 service 5G area, I am only getting silly download speeds of between 3-5 Mbps while the upload speeds are in the 20+ Mbps. My own Sky mobile used as tethering gives me 20+ Mbps download speeds on the same laptop device, so am I doing something wrong, or is there a router config required to get the higher 4G+ expected speeds.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
