Just been looking at the specs for the new iPhone 17 range which released yesterday for pre-order.
Many of us (so I believe) thought that these phones would no longer support a physical sim and that you would need an Esim. This led to a lot of posting and in fact Smarty have now released Esim support in any case.
Looking at the Apple website, it seems that the iPhone AIR will only support Esim and not physical sims. The iPhone 17 & 17Pro are still shown as supporting both types of sim - or one of each active.
Anyone not so keen on using an Esim exclusively now need not panic it seems - unless you particularly want the iPhone AIR model. Hope this is useful to some of you.
