wi-fi calling

I moved my whole family to Smarty a few months ago, and calls failed for all of us seemingly randomly - until we realized that it was whenever the call was trying to be made or received over WiFi (we all had WiFi calling enabled, as reception in some areas at home/work isn't great). Never had an issue before with different carriers, and our iPhones are all clearly marked as supporting WiFi calling on Smarty (per https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/4237414-which-devices-are-compatible-with-wifi-calling). We've spent hours on the phone with Smarty, and received zero valuable help (we were told to reboot / reset our phones, and even went as far as completely wiping and resetting some of the phones). One of us even got a new phone iPhone, and it didn't solve the WiFi calling issue. The carrier profile is "Three 66.0", so it seems up-to-date too. Anyone else having issues on iPhones? Smarty support seems completely out of their depth - the reps I spoke to could only repeat that we should reset our network settings repeatedly, blamed the problem on Apple, and weren't even aware that some of the settings were set through their carrier profile file...204Views0likes3CommentsWi fi calling issue
Hi I recently bought an oppo find x9 pro and have not been able to get the WiFi calling working at all. This is a deal-breaker for me as I live in a bad signal area. I have it switched on, tried airplane mode, tried restarting, tried resetting my WiFi connections etc nothings working. Please tell me someone has a fix. I also noticed that it doesn't give me the option to set wi fi calling to preference just toggle it on and off. The phone is not listed as tested although I would assume it works as other oppos do. Please help.143Views0likes1CommentWi Fi Calling no longer works as of 5th June 2025
Hi gang, my wifi calling stopped working in our home. Since approx 5th of June 2025. (I been using wifi calling past 5 months from home with Smarty no issues) I have chatted with Smarty team, the experience was ok actually worked for me. They replied with "To summarise, we’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps and updated the APN settings. Unfortunately, this hasn’t resolved the issue. Therefore, I’ve raised a case on your behalf for further investigation." I then called a friend who has no reception in their home, has a Smarty sim, he tried WiFi calling. Guess what he said it's not working it did before. Is there a theme here ? The only change recently is this 31st May Three UK recently merged with Vodafone UK, forming a new company called VodafoneThree. This merger was completed on May 31, 2025, according to Vodafone. The combined company is now the largest mobile phone operator in the UK, with 27 million customersSolved6.8KViews1like28CommentsURGENT: SMARTY is failing now, time to move to ID
Compare Smarty to ID on here: https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/ Smarty is honestly terrible. ID offers so much more on the same network for the same price. They offer more data per £, data rollover, more EU countries access, 30GB EU Roaming (18 more than Smarty), e-sim for Watches, 3 months of Apple TV + Music. It is a no-brainer to switch now, Smarty has lost it's game sadly.843Views0likes2CommentsSamsung A35 or A55 on Wi-Fi calling
Hi, has anyone on here got a Samsung A35 or A55? I’m just trying to see if Smarty works on Wi-Fi calling on these models as these are not on the latest Smarty list of compatibile phones. Just trying to find out as thinking about moving from an old iPhone across to Android. Many thanks2.4KViews0likes5CommentsNo wifi calling
I have tried everything smarty have suggested concerning WiFi calling. I have a Samsung A55 5g handset and I live in a rural area so I NEED wifi calling, and I THOUGHT I had it. When making or receiving calls, 'sorry I can't hear you' is something I constantly hear as my signal drops in and out. I need something that actually works, this is a deal breaker on staying or leaving Smarty.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsPeople I'm calling complain I keep cutting out. Am I getting Wifi calling?
I'm getting a couple of bars of signal strength in my house. My phone is compatible with Wifi calling and is enabled in settings, and it's wifi is switched on. The wifi itself is also switched on, with a good internet signal and my phone is well within range. How do I tell if Wifi calling is working or not? I made a couple of calls to land lines today, and they both complained that I kept cutting out, even though I could hear them ok. I would have thought that if Wifi calling was actually working, I would not have this problem. Any suggestions please on what I can do? To be honest, this is making me doubt Smarty, because it could be a deal breaker if I can't make decent calls from my own house, because that is where I make most of them.Solved1.7KViews0likes3Comments
