Text message problem
After transfered to Smarty, I could call, surface internet, but could not receive text message. Smarty CS staff (Aakash) helps me to solve it in following steps: Option 1: Install Google Messages Go to the Google Play Store. Search for Google Messages and install it. Open the app and set it as your default SMS app. Tap your profile icon > Messages settings > Chat features. Turn Chat features off if they are enabled. Option 2: Use Samsung Messages but Disable RCS via Google Account (if previously enabled) If you had RCS enabled on another phone or app, you can deregister it here: Enter your phone number and verify via SMS. I used option1 and solve the problem. He is really helpful and know the technical matter. Thanks809Views2likes1CommentCall Failed
I have NOT been able to receive or make calls !!! I Just get a silent hang while trying to make calls then an error message “” CALL FAILED “”… and I call myself and it goes straight to voicemail ( which I don’t have setup !!!) even when set to 4G / voLTE / 5G / WiFi Calling !!!! And over the past year I have had 30% of my year with NO INTERNET DATA CONNECTION…. Even after being forced by smarty’s staff to do the same steps over and over and over when CX tea refunded me one months bill and told me to leave if I’m NOT happy with smarty mobile !!! And confirmed that I followed all steps correctly ( eg: being forced to hourly reset my NETWORK SETTINGS ON MY iPhone 12 128GB !! Which doesn’t help including changing my APN settings over and over and over !!!!!! “” OOKLA “” speed test shows bearly enough speed to even move …. ( 4.00Mbps ) which is not even enough to open a simple webpage or refresh WhatsApp , Instagram or Facebook !!!! Emails randomly appear late etc !!! Going back to missing calls and unable to make calls which just started a month or two ago!!!!! CALLS ARE VITAL FOR ME DUE TO DOCTORS & HOSPITAL APPOINTMENTS AND CATCH UP’s WEEKLY!!! also I have a elderly mother who I need to connect to regularly due to health concerns and checking up on her for peace of mind !! I am beyond stressed and full of anxiety by SMARTY MOBILE who say it is “””NETWORK CONGESTION “” and apparently there is nothing that can be done !!!!! But…. THE ISSUE IS AT BOTH ADDRESSES NOT JUST ONE !!!!! So …. Clearly it is a completely error / fault … I use the postcode checker & network checker daily and it shows no issues whatsoever… but OOKLA SPEED TEST APP SHOWS EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE LOW SPEED JUST ABOUT PICKS UP SPEED ( 4.00Mbps ) just taken now … sometimes it’s even worse ( 1.00Mbps ) which will not even open anything data wise !!! ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS without leaving smarty since I am paying £12 unlimited everything ( maybe is it possible to move my telephone number to another frequency? Is that possible? )Solved4KViews2likes10CommentsDelay in receiving SMS messages
Hi, I've been with SMARTY since Jan 24 when I ported my number over from Vodafone. Over the last few weeks I've been having a recurring problem that every SMS I receive takes ages to come through...anything from 30 mins to over 2 hours+. I've spoken to the online support team who went through various things (reset, etc) but it has made no difference. In the 15+ years I was with Vodofone I never had this problem (not even on News Years Eve). This is suggesting to me that the issue is with SMARTY and linked to network traffic, etc. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did it get resolved. I've tried a different SIM card from another network in my phone, and the SMS function works perfectly, so I'm fairly confident its not the phone. Any help would be appreciated.7.2KViews2likes12CommentsUK SIM not working in Australia
Since arriving in Australia, I've been unable to use my Smarty UK SIM (just required for 2-step banking authentication etc as I have a local SIM for calls, texts and data). The SIM is recognised by my phone and multiple local phone signals are identified but for some reason I can't connect to any of them. The APN is now set to mob.asm.net but the change was made post-arrival in Australia - could this be the source of the problem? I've tried toggling all of the various settings on and off but without success. My local Aussie SIM works fine in my Poco F3 but it stops working when my Smarty UK SIM is added to slot 2 - my Smarty SIM is therefore currently residing in my old Motorola g(8). I was last in Australia in April 2024 and my Smarty SIM was connecting without any issues at that time. In the meantime, the 3G network has been turned off in Australia. I mention this in case it is significant but as the settings on my 2x phones allow me to select 5G (Poco F3) and 4G/LTE (Motorola g(8)), I assume this is not the root cause of the problem. I don't know if it's relevant but I should also note that I was unable to connect to either WiFi or mobile data while on the train to the UK airport. Ideally, a solution to this problem can be found but, if not, what are my options? 1. Smarty could send a replacement SIM to my UK address for a relative to post to Australia (it probably wouldn't arrive until after Christmas) 2. Is it possible sms messages to be forwarded to another number (similar to call forwarding for voice calls)? 3. I could do nothing (not a great option as I'm staying in Australia until after Easter 2025) 4. Are there any other options? All suggestions welcome. TIA7.4KViews1like17Comments
