sms issues
47 TopicsDelayed SMS issue re-appeared
An issue seen a couple of years ago has re-appeared - SMS such as messages from websites not received promptly. This is on Pixel and it's hard to tell whether it's a phone or network issue as sending a text makes the missing messages appear. It could also relate to WiFi calling - which is on by default - so I'll try turning it off.19Views0likes0CommentsDre 806
It’s currently 12:53pm 29/4/2026. I haven’t been able to make or receive a single call for over 24 hours. All my phone settings are as they should be, I have even put my sim into another phone and same issue.. This is a constant issue with UC Smarty. My data is working fine and I can make calls through WhatsApp, FaceTime, and other apps that use WiFi or internet to make calls. However, when people call my phone it says my number is no longer available. I have serious calls I need to make that I cannot. I am also waiting for important calls which can lead to legal repercussions if I’m am unable to speak to the person attempting to contact me. There is no way to contact anyone from smarty, no way to get a response from a real person as opposed to a BOT or AI and as usual there is NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN GIVE A SOLUTION for similar issues. How will this problem be fixed. When will it be fixed. Will I receive any repayments for not being provided with a service I am paying for?26Views0likes1CommentVery difficult scam
I've been charged £4.50 every week for this website funvids, I didn't even press anything, I just opened it, and somehow it got my phone number and has been charging me on my phone bill weekly, what can I do? Or can smarty block 3rd party payments? I've tried messaging 'STOP' to their shortcode 65065, but it said I have insufficient funds, so I bought a £5 bolt on that said it could message shortcodes, I converted it to credit, sent the message again, and it still didn't work, so I don't know what to do53Views0likes1CommentSMS to iot number

I have recently transferred my new number to Smarty having been a longstanding customer previously. The switchover email confirmation was received today. However my phone prompted me to do an update but I still can't send any texts and it will no longer connect to my home wifi. I have already topped up my credit/plan on this phone. Any advice what I can do?61Views0likes1CommentNo Service
I have been a Smarty Customer since February 2026. Since that time I have had two days access to calls and text. Up until yesterday I had no issue with mobile data. Mother's Day data stopped completely and I was automatically logged out of the Smarty App. I do not have WiFi at home so rely on my phone to keep in contact with people. It is unsatisfactory for me to pay for a unlimited plan but not get that service. I do not know how you will contact me as I am no longer connected to the internet. 😢86Views1like3CommentsSmarty Coverage claimed vs Actual
The Coverage Claimed: "Yes - Excellent service Indoor and Outdoor" My Actual Coverage : NO Outdoor BARS (ever) but not "No Service" Indoors is similar, but dBm readings are worse What I need: One Time Passwords arriving before expiry (if at all) would be a good start, OTP by SMS is like London buses - None for ages, then three all at once What I'd like: Incoming calls to my phone, not to Voicemail when I AM at home. I'm 87 - Normally, I AM at home About Me: I worked in IT from age 20 to retirement at 67 I still offer a Fix your PC service to my local community, so I can cope with tech to a fair degree This issue is really about variable radio signal quality rather than nice, easy, digital logic I hope my issues will ring many bells for many other users My Environment Summary: I live in a Victorian brick semi-detached house in flat countryside SE of Maidstone. My office has excellent wifi, but no chance of mobile signal. (Thick brick etc) BBand It's an FTTC service today (15 MBps down, + 0.5 MBps up), 1.6kms distant from the cabinet MAJOR CHANGE SOON: FTTP will be installed next week Phone Settings WiFi is Calling is always ON - of course. They say "Wi-Fi calling allows smartphones to make and RECEIVE [??] calls." That's not my experience for Receive - and not on SMS either WhatsApp gives a far more reliable service, but callers usually use the conventional mobile network to make their calls. How you can help: I'd really like to understand what affects my phone's visibility on the mobile network, and what I can do to improve it. Here are some SIM card status results for signal strength My readings were taken Outside on a 1st floor balcony Mobile network state "Disconnected" Best dBm: -114dBm Worst -127dBm I have an EE SIM on the way to get some EE signal strength readings Looking at EE coverage map, I think EE will be worse than SMARTY O2 and Vodafone's claims are nowhere near Spilly153Views0likes5Comments
