New, no service after bringing old number over
Hi I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem. I'm new to Smarty and wanted to bring my old number over. My PAC code was sucessful. I received emails from the previous provider teling me my SIM was no longer active, as well as confirmation from Smarty that it was a success. I did not put the SIM into my phone until after the number was ported over, so I have never had service at all. After putting in the SIM, I have no service. Oddly, when I restart the phone, I have service for about a minute. Smarty shows as the operator in my settings. Then it disappears and I have no service again. I cannot make calls or recieve texts. When I contact Smarty over chat, told me to turn it on and off again, and to reset network settings. This doesn't do anything. They said maybe it will work after midnight. I have my doubts. I'm very concerned about not being able to be contacted and not being able to use 2FA. Please let me know if there's anything else I can try.35Views0likes0CommentsPAC request fails authentication
I have moved to a different provider. My own account is closed. I can still access my son's account who was under my own account. However, Smarty is saying my request for a PAC for him is failing authentication. I'm getting no information back from Smarty. I'm pulling my hair out with this. Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried texting PAC with my date of birth AND PAC with my son's date of birth. No luck with either.547Views0likes3CommentsBeing asked if i want to keep new smarty number or transfer old number after 9 months
I don't want to select wrong option and lose my number but I need to select an option and confirm choice to get rid of this question on my dashboard. I've been with SMARTY since September 2023. I moved my number from previous provider with me. Now my dashboard has a box saying: we noticed you activated your sim. Do you want to bring your phone number to SMARTY? Option 1: yes bring my number. We will bring your number by end of day on 08/07/2024 Option 2: no keep new SMARTY number. You can bring your number later from account settings. I'm worried either option might be wrong and lose me my number. I already brought my number, so what number would they be bringing under option 1. And I want to keep my existing smarty number which is the number I already brought. Which option to pick?Solved3.5KViews1like7CommentsURGENT: SMARTY is failing now, time to move to ID
Compare Smarty to ID on here: https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/ Smarty is honestly terrible. ID offers so much more on the same network for the same price. They offer more data per £, data rollover, more EU countries access, 30GB EU Roaming (18 more than Smarty), e-sim for Watches, 3 months of Apple TV + Music. It is a no-brainer to switch now, Smarty has lost it's game sadly.795Views0likes2CommentsDelay in receiving SMS messages
Hi, I've been with SMARTY since Jan 24 when I ported my number over from Vodafone. Over the last few weeks I've been having a recurring problem that every SMS I receive takes ages to come through...anything from 30 mins to over 2 hours+. I've spoken to the online support team who went through various things (reset, etc) but it has made no difference. In the 15+ years I was with Vodofone I never had this problem (not even on News Years Eve). This is suggesting to me that the issue is with SMARTY and linked to network traffic, etc. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did it get resolved. I've tried a different SIM card from another network in my phone, and the SMS function works perfectly, so I'm fairly confident its not the phone. Any help would be appreciated.7.2KViews2likes12Commentsnumber transfer
I transferred to smarty a week aga and send my PAC number on same day when applying for the sim, it is over a week and still waiting for the transfer, I had a chat and was told there was no indication that my transfer was completed that was a lie as I checked the account and it says in progress, checked again it says will be completed on the 25th. In the FAQ, it says 24h, don’t know how to believe , this is disappointing, with other providers the number is transferred after 24 hrs.899Views0likes4CommentsExtremely poor customer service
