iPhone: calls and texts fail even with 4G data since Three-Vodafone merger — anyone else?
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this. My iPhone 16 Pro often won’t make or receive calls or texts — even though data works perfectly (WhatsApp, Maps, browsing, etc.). The signal icon shows 4G and there’s no sign of a problem until I try to make a call or send a text, someone tells me they couldn’t get through, or a text arrives hours late. When it happens, I can usually fix it by turning off Wi-Fi and toggling airplane mode once or twice. This has been happening only since the Three–Vodafone merger started rolling out. Do I need a new SIM, or is there a network-handover quirk affecting iPhones? Would love to know if any other SMARTY users — especially those who’ve been through similar handovers — have seen this and found a lasting fix. Thanks in advance!
New customer. NO Incoming or Outgoing calls
Hi I joined Smarty today and had my number ported across from my previous provider. At 13:16 I received an email to say that my port had been successful. During the afternoon most of the services slowly appeared. At this moment, I can send and receive texts ok, internet works ok, but - I cannot make or receive phone calls. I have just restarted my mobile and retested. It is now 19:25 - it looks like no phone tonight. Very disappointing Smarty. Not a good start. I'd be grateful for any help.Calling issue
Rookie non tech here, I'm having to send my pixel 7a away for replacement battery and have tried transferring my Smarty sim to my old phone, Sony XA2, and although I can do and access most things I cannot use it to make calls. I can call through Whatsapp so not a complete disaster but any suggestions greatly appreciated as to why normal calling method doesn't work? Paul
Unable to receive calls - straight to voicemail
Hi! Since July all calls that are not on Whatsapp go straight to voicemail, it’s much worse when I’m at home than when I’m out which is weird because it was working fine before July (I’ve been with SMARTY for years now). Mobile service is fine and data roaming is on, I don’t know what to do. Please if anyone can help I’d be so grateful!!
Twice In Two Months Apparently my phone is calling a different number each time.
Here is a very strange thing. In the last two months I have been at home with my phone on a table away from me and it rings. I answer the call and twice now two different people have said that they have had a missed call from me!! I don't know them from Adam and I certainly not calling there number. When I look at recent out bound numbers they are not there on the list so the phone has not called them. Spooky!!!
Intermittently not receiving calls
Frequently when my husband and three other people that I know of call me, my phone doesn't ring and there is no call history. From their side it rings until the voicemail picks up. If they leave a message i get a text message but still nothing in the call log. Other people can ring and the call comes through everytime. I have tried everything smarty have advised. Sim out. Phone reset. I did replace my phone in January so could be a phone setting, but I did a soft reset which didn't fix the issue. I don't know what to do next.
