call issues
133 TopicsRingtone length
My phone used to ring for 30 secs before going to voicemail. It now rings for 15seccs 0nly without any request from me, Far too short. I eventually was able to get help via the chat system and was given the number to ring to change it .This I did and was told my request had been registered. But when tested only 15 secs of ringtone occurs. The helper was puzzled and could only suggest that I disabled 'voicemail" to solve it . This seems drastic and I don't want to do that.. Any suggestions?24Views0likes1CommentWhatsApp verification - EU
I am overseas (Greece) and have had to change my phone over, I re downloaded WhatsApp & I cannot receive the verification codes via SMS or calls, email is not an option. I've tried manually selecting the network but still doesn't work. I've received verification messages for other services all okay, such as FB, Instagram etc Meta accounts have linked to WhatsApp but it won't let me use them to log in, any other suggestions welcome. WiFi calling switched on, APN settings to use my phone abroad all correct. Chatgbt suggested something with shortcodes? Smarty chat help suggesting adding a small amount to add on to see if it bypasses the issue54Views0likes2Comments- 49Views0likes4Comments
suddenly my phone no. has disappeard
Can anyone help? I've been a customer for nearly years, automatically paying monthly, with the same phone number. Suddenly smarty doesn't recognise the number. I've asked for and received a replacemend SIM, in case it was that. I put the new one in and saw "emergency calls only". I've tried the SIM in an old phone (that does still work) and got the same problem. Is this because smarty has been brought up to Vodaphone? How can I get the number working again?Solved122Views0likes6CommentsSim not working......still.
My number has been ported over. I received the confirmation from SMARTY. The mobile data doesn't work and says "not registered to network" when I try calls. The sim works in other phones. I've gone through the list and none of it helped. I'm giving it 24hrs, if its not sorted then I'm cancelling it and switching to someone else.67Views0likes4CommentsCan't call out with new phone
My eldest got a new phone (second hand Samsung Galaxy S21) and since inserting the SIM card, he can no longer call out or go on the internet (Wi-Fi works fine). Weirdly, the SIM card phone number displays a different number to the one that he had, as if it changed with the new phone. There is definitely coverage as I use SMARTY as well and my phone is fine. Any help would be appreciated.64Views0likes3CommentsTo make or receive calls reliably we often have to turn off wifi on the phone, why?
I'm with Smarty both for phone and internet at home. To make or receive calls reliably I often have to take my phone off wifi, why? I looked this up using Ai and here's the answer and frankly this is an absolute bore. The issue is likely due to *Smarty's network configuration* (which operates on the *Three* network) not providing the *"WiFi Preferred"* toggle that allows phones to lock onto WiFi Calling even when mobile signal is present. * *Signal Interference:* Without this setting, your phone aggressively switches between WiFi and mobile networks. If your mobile signal is borderline, the phone may constantly drop the WiFi connection to attempt a cellular connection, causing calls to cut out or fail. * *Incompatibility:* Unlike some other providers, Smarty does not allow users to modify the WiFi Calling preference on the device, forcing a default behavior where the phone prioritizes cellular signal over WiFi when both are available. To fix this, you can manually force WiFi Calling by enabling *Airplane Mode* and then turning *WiFi back on*. This disables the cellular radio, ensuring all calls and texts are routed exclusively through your home internet connection until you leave the area.92Views0likes4Comments
