Using phone in France

I want to be sure I can use my phone in France. I’ve looked at the instructions for an iPhone but the mobile data on my phone settings doesn’t allow me access to to the APN settings. 
Any advice please?

    GopaRoy_1921054 Go to Settings > Mobile Service > SIMS (Smarty) > Mobile Data Network > Mobile Data and you should see the APN
