I'd expect Three UK (and therefore SMARTY) have an active bandwidth management policy, and operate proxy servers to enforce any adult content restrictions they and SMARTY use.
I guess both could impact your experience with any given website, over a mobile internet connection.
No doubt different policies would apply when you're using a Wi-Fi network to visit any given website.
