What phone is it. Three don’t have a 2g network so the sims essentially useless in the phone, EE and O2 might be your only option since Vodafone merged they might not have 2g support now

Also, with Smarty and Asdamobile sim cards fitted, BOTH cards register a strong signal (Asda also uses Vodaphone) with only Smarty sim card inserted, in Sim 1 slot, Sim 1 channel shows high signal strength. So phone registers that 'a' sim card is fitted even though it won't call or register 'Smarty'.
Network status shows no problem for my postcode.

PhilipG I'm wondering whether the phone may not be compatible with Smarty 4G VoLTE protocol.
There is an article that explains more: https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/8985136-checking-if-your-device-is-4g-volte-compatible

my plan shows on dashboard, £6 per mth and paid for June, July August. Due again on 18 Sept. Also shows no calls all months, inspite of many attempts. Asdamobile works fine, phone is CAT B26 2-sim.
I now realise all calls have been on Asda sim. Phone home page shows Asda sim and "please insert (other) SIM card". When you send security check I reeive nowt on phone. I now request for email. Is Smarty sim card faulty? Thanks for help. psst,aAm now £18 adrift
