Dodgy visit from FREE in France
Dodgy visit from FREE in France. I am in France, in second home. I notice our mobile network when roaming is FREE, both for my wife and myself. We had a visit from an "engineer" from "FREE" wanting to install a FreeBox for our WiFi. He wanted to come into our house - refused. We requested his paperwork - none. Told him we are on Orange here. I can't get to someone in Smarty to see if FREE are a recommended network supplier for roaming. If so I would report this. Any way I can actually talk to someone in Smarty because I need to discuss this with them.? Thanks, Ian
Can't log into Microsoft on SMARTY mobile internet
I have a weird problem. I can't access my Microsoft account or any of my apps (Word, OneDrive) on my iPhone using my mobile data but I can on WiFi. I get a 4VLPO error on the apps and ERR_BAD_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT on the web. I've tried every tip on the internet including clearing cache and resetting network settings to factory standard but nothing has sorted it. Is this problem localised to me or is anyone else experiencing this? Again, the issue is definitely not with my account itself as I can access it fine over WiFi.
Short codes 79100
I have just read a post from 2/2025 saying we can use short codes one here , but in Dec last year 2025 I tried to join fabswingers as a supported yes I can't wait for the jokes 😀 and I got charges for the text but the code never worked and ended up being refunded for out of plan add on moneys, does anyone know if this has changed or its still a no.go from.smarty ? Very difficult scam
I've been charged £4.50 every week for this website funvids, I didn't even press anything, I just opened it, and somehow it got my phone number and has been charging me on my phone bill weekly, what can I do? Or can smarty block 3rd party payments? I've tried messaging 'STOP' to their shortcode 65065, but it said I have insufficient funds, so I bought a £5 bolt on that said it could message shortcodes, I converted it to credit, sent the message again, and it still didn't work, so I don't know what to do
