Hi everyone, I’m looking for some technical advice regarding my Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G on the Smarty network. Since earlier this week, I have been unable to make or receive any phone calls. When I try to dial, I get a "Mobile network not available" error. However, my 4G/5G data is working perfectly at full speed. I’ve already tried the following troubleshooting steps: Performed a network reset. Verified APN settings are correct (mob.asm.net). Used the *#*#86583#*#* code to disable the VoLTE carrier check. The "VoLTE Provisioned" flag is active in the *#*#4636#*#* menu. Tested the SIM in another phone (it works fine there). It seems my device is struggling to register for IMS/VoLTE on the Three/Smarty infrastructure now that 3G is being phased out in my area. Even though the hardware is fully 5G/VoLTE capable, it isn't "handshaking" correctly with the network for voice services. Has anyone managed to get a Tecno device successfully registered on Smarty's VoLTE? Or is there a way for a moderator to "refresh" the VoLTE flag on my account/IMEI to see if it forces a registration? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’d love to stay with Smarty!Solved70Views0likes3CommentsApple Watch e-sim
Hi, I’m just wondering whether SMARTY has any plans to introduce e-sim smart watch ads ons in the near future. I’ve recently purchased a cellular Apple Watch and don’t want to move away from the SMARTY network, but may have to begrudgingly do this if nothing is on the horizon. Thanks. You’ve been asking, and we’ve been listening. We’re excited to let you know that eSIM is now available for existing SMARTY customers🙌 We’re starting things off with a soft launch, so right now you’ll only see the option if you’re an existing customer and you go through the SIM replacement journey. That means if your phone supports eSIM and you want to switch from your physical SIM, you’re good to go. Wait, what’s an eSIM? An eSIM (which stands for embedded SIM) is a small chip that’s built directly into your phone or device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, your mobile plan can be downloaded straight onto the eSIM. Think of it like streaming a song instead of popping in a CD, it’s all digital, and it’s all seamless. How to make the switch Just log into your SMARTY account, head to Account settings > Manage plan > Replace SIM, and choose to replace your current SIM with an eSIM. Follow the remaining steps and you’ll be up and running in no time. We’re rolling this out carefully to keep things smooth, but more eSIM goodness is on the way 👀 Need more information or support on eSIM? Check out our Help and FAQ page for the most common FAQs. Thanks for sticking with us and your feedback helped make this one happen 💚9.7KViews9likes39CommentsRevert back to physical sim
Hello! A few days ago I had to use a new phone as my old one was sent to be repaired. Since that new phone supported esim I converted my sim to an esim and used it in that phone. Now thatI have my old phone back,a phone that does not support esim, I want to cotinue using my physical sim as always. I insered it back to the phone, yet it does not seem to work. The phone reads it, but I have no reception, cannot make or receive calls or use mobile data. How can I deal with this issue? Do I have to order a replacement of my sim card?69Views0likes1CommenteSim activation abroad
Hi I'm off to Canada over Christmas and I've bought my children 'new' IPhones. These are eSim compatible. I was planning on giving them whilst there, is it possible to activate an eSim abroad, or do you need to be within the UK for it to register correctly? They are already on Smarty but the new phones don't have physical sim slots. I've looked through the faq and posts but can't find any definitive answer. Thanks26Views0likes0CommentsSIM to eSIM transfer. Dashboard Banner!
I recently changed from a physical SIM to an eSIM. On my dashboard I still see the banner which asks me if I want to keep the new smarty number of bring my number over to smarty. I only seem to be able to get rid of the banner by selecting one or the other option but none of them apply to me. I brought my number over when I ported to Smarty on the physical SIM so I don't want to select the "bring my number over" option. I dare not select the "keep my new Smarty number" in case it gives me a new number! Anyone else been through this?31Views0likes0CommentsHow easy is it to transfer eSIM from old iPad to new iPad.
Will be setting up my new iPad Mini 7 this weekend to replace an over 4 year old iPad Mini 6 and was wondering how easy it was to transfer eSIM to new iPad. I only been using eSIM in my iPad Mini 6 about 5 weeks. Since I bowed over from a Sim Card. The new iPad Mini 7 is eSIM only. Any help would be helpful.89Views0likes3CommentseSim Swapping
Hi, I am trying out a couple of phones, including the new iPhone Air. If I wanted to swap the eSim from the Air to another phone, will Smarty charge me for the privilege? Mozillian wanted to charge me £3 for reissuing an eSim, so I ended my contract with them in the first 14 days. Thanks.92Views0likes0CommentsSmarty eSim and Apple Watch
Hi community! The recent Apple announcement on the iPhone Air seems to have forced Smarty's hand on eSim. So we finally have eSim on Smarty!! However, trying to enable Mobile Service on my Apple Watch and I get: "Your airtime plan is not compatible with the smartwatch pairing service - Please call your contact center" After speaking with Smarty support, it seems they just dont support smartwatches. So, we are in the same place as several years ago, just with an eSim instead of a physical sim. Seems really odd, the older posts about Smartwatch support got replies saying "We dont support eSim so you cant use your Smartwatch". However, now you have eSim support and we still cant use Smartwatches. Whats the reason this time?? I dont mind paying a few extra quid each month for it to work, I just want it to work!1.9KViews5likes2Comments
