I received emails on Monday telling me to activate my eSIM, so I did. By Tuesday I had two eSIMs on my iPhone - the 'temporary' Smarty one and my old network one - I was still able to use my phone as usual. The helpdesk told me the temporary eSIM was required as part of the porting process, but it didn't work for data or calls - everything was still going from my old number. Wednesday morning I received a text from my previous provider saying the switch had taken place, I also received an email from Smarty confirming this. However, I had no signal and was not able to send messages or receive calls until I got home in the evening and could connect to my WiFi. I was told by 3 different helpdesk operators to wait until the end of the day (what does that even mean?), to turn my phone on and off again, to request a new eSIM from my dashboard, to NOT request a new eSIM from my dashboard, to 'be patient', that what I was experiencing was totally normal and all part of the process. How do I get my phone to work on the Smarty eSIM? I have no confidence in the helpdesk's ability to solve this problem and have seen numerous similar issues on this forum with no real solutions60Views0likes0CommentsRegret getting Smarty..
Since I installed a Smarty esim I've had nothing but issues. I can't sign into some apps.. specially Booking.com which I'm using all the time. I've reinstalled apps, reset network settings, etc. until I'm blue in the face but no luck. This connection is very erratic a d unreliable. It also drains the s24 battery at an alarming rate.. even after switching to 4g. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.51Views0likes1CommentSIM disconnected
This has happened across two phones And across e sim and physical Sims. I can be in an area I know has signal Not overly crowded or built up etc Then suddenly a ! Will appear next to my signal bar While it still claims to have 4 or 5 g signal But I don't have any signal I have to go into my phones settings and switch the SIM on and off again to get it to work. Never run out of data etc anyone else have this issue or just me ? Getting frustrating having to do this daily now36Views0likes2CommentsPossible Hack!
My phone (Iphone 12Max Pro) having worked perfectly for several days since I switched to Smarty I am currently unable to receive or send voice calls or SMS messages. This reminds me of my previous provider, who allowed a hacker to add an Esim to my phone, thus disabling the physical Sim card, Without access to SMS texts, I am unable to provide two-step verification for internet banking or on-line shopping.I looked at Settings on the Iphone, but nothing looked wrong. Any ideas what the problem might be, or how to resolve it?14Views0likes0Comments🚀 eSIM at SMARTY Just Got Bigger — Now Available for New Customers!

Now that Smarty / Three have been acquired by Vodafone (for almost a year now), isn't it about time the eSim LTE / LTE-A / 5G NR cellular capability for the Apple Watch platform (and other manufacturers' wearables) was rolled out? Cellular has been available on Apple Watches for the Series 3 in 2017 - that's SIX years! NumberShare / NumberSync are the real-world practical benefits your user community want from a merger / takeover, not simply the economies of scale and additional revenue streams Vodafone will benefit from!57Views0likes1CommenteSIM is here 🎉
You’ve been asking, and we’ve been listening. We’re excited to let you know that eSIM is now available for existing SMARTY customers🙌 We’re starting things off with a soft launch, so right now you’ll only see the option if you’re an existing customer and you go through the SIM replacement journey. That means if your phone supports eSIM and you want to switch from your physical SIM, you’re good to go. Wait, what’s an eSIM? An eSIM (which stands for embedded SIM) is a small chip that’s built directly into your phone or device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, your mobile plan can be downloaded straight onto the eSIM. Think of it like streaming a song instead of popping in a CD, it’s all digital, and it’s all seamless. How to make the switch Just log into your SMARTY account, head to Account settings > Manage plan > Replace SIM, and choose to replace your current SIM with an eSIM. Follow the remaining steps and you’ll be up and running in no time. We’re rolling this out carefully to keep things smooth, but more eSIM goodness is on the way 👀 Need more information or support on eSIM? Check out our Help and FAQ page for the most common FAQs. I recently moved to Smarty. I enabled an esim on my phone and ported a number from my previous network. The porting process was completed and the ported number is shown in the Smarty app. My issue is that when I send a text the recipient is shown as it coming from the original Smarty number. Phone calls appear to come from the ported number so the issue only appears to affect text messages. Has anyone else been affected by this and is there a way to rectify it?78Views0likes2Comments
