HELP - Old data only SIM stopping me moving main phone to Smarty I have an old data only SIM I use to use in a mobile Router, which is currently does not have an active payment. I would like to switch my main phone to Smarty, but cannot fine a way to do it. The problems are: With my old sim, I cannot select a data + calls option to renew the SIM and put it in my phone, this would be the simplest solution. I don't need this data only SIM anymore once I have switch my main phone to Smarty. I have a spare new SIM, but cannot add it to my account, yes there is the 'group' option, but I need to remove the old data SIM from my account as I don't need it any more, and so it would not be a group. No way I can delete the account associated with the old SIM and start again with the new SIM. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my main phone on to smarty ? Today I bought a smarty, sim. I installed it in my phone a samsung galaxy Z flip 3 any network, I set it up paid online £15 for 150GB ect, but no matter what I do I have no internet no calls no texts at all. Nothing I do works. Smarty has been paid, my account works logged in all settings set right. Still won't work. Now what56Views0likes2CommentsWhat is happening?!
I went onto the smarty website a couple days ago. Ordered my sim, set up my plan and requested a pac code from the old provider which I then put into the smarty website as it asked for the pac code. I then set up an account on smarty and I’ve had my sim delivered today. Problem is it’s saying awaiting number on the main dashboard and I’ve just had an email saying a replacement sim is on the way…I didn’t order a replacement sim?! I only got my new smarty sim through the post today. So 1. How do I activate if it’s not giving me the option to and 2. Which sim do i activate? The one I have or the replacement sim I never even ordered? so confused!99Views0likes6CommentsMisled and very annoyed
Just put my sim in my mini mobile router. I bought it so that when my wife goes on holiday, if she has no signal she could use wifi to whatsapp me. The advert read, there is no contract, which is what I wanted. I wanted to use it along the lines of PAYG, so in other words if I didnt want to pay anything one month I could just skip, all I wanted to start with is to try it at home then when my wife went on holiday, or I ended up in hospital, to see how it works and explain it to my wife, then I would top it up with a higher one month term. "ONLY AFTER PAYING" I find out if you stop the recurring payment they cancel, which means going through setting it all up again as a new plan. If I'd known we were going to be conned into paying every month I would not have joined. I am very disappointed. Does anyone else feel the same. The advert is very misleading and annoying. I joined Smarty in February. In a few days time it will be one month being with Smarty. During that time no problem with data. I am on an unlimited plan data, calls and text. Not getting calls or text. Only had the service (call/text) for two days so far. That is not an unlimited service. I am not registered on IMS. IMS registration is needed. IMS needs to be registered on my phone for VoLTE (Voice over LTE - making and receiving a calls) Wi-Fi calling and RCS messaging to work. Any Smarty Customer having any issues with calls or text it. This may be your problem? To anyone at Smarty who can rectify this for me one day soon - I'd be very happy.93Views0likes6Comments
