New customer. NO Incoming or Outgoing calls
Hi I joined Smarty today and had my number ported across from my previous provider. At 13:16 I received an email to say that my port had been successful. During the afternoon most of the services slowly appeared. At this moment, I can send and receive texts ok, internet works ok, but - I cannot make or receive phone calls. I have just restarted my mobile and retested. It is now 19:25 - it looks like no phone tonight. Very disappointing Smarty. Not a good start. I'd be grateful for any help.45Views0likes0CommentsNew account porting issue and now no working mobile
Recently set up a new account for my wife and included her details to port over her existing number. Initially new sim was fine using the Smarty issued number. Was then advised on the 18th that port would take place on the 20th. On the 19th notice on the app there is a technical issue with the port. Try again. Went to try this but nothing available. Contacted support and told there was no issue and would happen the next day. 20th arrives and late afternoon it appears that the number has been ported across on the mobile but looking at the dashboard still has original number displayed. Seems odd? But mobile is making and receiving calls. Come the 21st Friday. Nothing. One dead mobile. Unable to make or receive calls. Contact support and since then still no resolution. Had new SIM sent, told to reactivate, no option to do so and so it continues on and on and on. Fast losing our patience. How much longer? Anybody else had dramas like this?Solved22KViews3likes36CommentsI can't find the chat
I want to ask about when my old number will be transferred to my new Smarty SIM. I see lots of references to the Chat option, but I can't get it to initiate. It just brings up pre-written answers. So does anyone know how I get it to work? Or is there a way of finding out why my old number has not been transferred over? I'm not having the best of starts with Smarty.942Views0likes4CommentsNew, no service after bringing old number over
Hi I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem. I'm new to Smarty and wanted to bring my old number over. My PAC code was sucessful. I received emails from the previous provider teling me my SIM was no longer active, as well as confirmation from Smarty that it was a success. I did not put the SIM into my phone until after the number was ported over, so I have never had service at all. After putting in the SIM, I have no service. Oddly, when I restart the phone, I have service for about a minute. Smarty shows as the operator in my settings. Then it disappears and I have no service again. I cannot make calls or recieve texts. When I contact Smarty over chat, told me to turn it on and off again, and to reset network settings. This doesn't do anything. They said maybe it will work after midnight. I have my doubts. I'm very concerned about not being able to be contacted and not being able to use 2FA. Please let me know if there's anything else I can try.39Views0likes0CommentsPAC request fails authentication
I have moved to a different provider. My own account is closed. I can still access my son's account who was under my own account. However, Smarty is saying my request for a PAC for him is failing authentication. I'm getting no information back from Smarty. I'm pulling my hair out with this. Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried texting PAC with my date of birth AND PAC with my son's date of birth. No luck with either.550Views0likes3CommentsBeing asked if i want to keep new smarty number or transfer old number after 9 months
I don't want to select wrong option and lose my number but I need to select an option and confirm choice to get rid of this question on my dashboard. I've been with SMARTY since September 2023. I moved my number from previous provider with me. Now my dashboard has a box saying: we noticed you activated your sim. Do you want to bring your phone number to SMARTY? Option 1: yes bring my number. We will bring your number by end of day on 08/07/2024 Option 2: no keep new SMARTY number. You can bring your number later from account settings. I'm worried either option might be wrong and lose me my number. I already brought my number, so what number would they be bringing under option 1. And I want to keep my existing smarty number which is the number I already brought. Which option to pick?Solved3.5KViews1like7CommentsURGENT: SMARTY is failing now, time to move to ID
Compare Smarty to ID on here: https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/ Smarty is honestly terrible. ID offers so much more on the same network for the same price. They offer more data per £, data rollover, more EU countries access, 30GB EU Roaming (18 more than Smarty), e-sim for Watches, 3 months of Apple TV + Music. It is a no-brainer to switch now, Smarty has lost it's game sadly.803Views0likes2Comments
