I have a new phone from my friend, my old number has been changed. Calls and receiving texts are ok. Sending a text uses the phones old number as that is what it is connected to. How can I solve this please?
Hello @Ffoenix . Have you checked the Settings of your phone to ensure that it 'knows' the correct number? It may still be 'remembering' the number that it got when the sim was first inserted.
Are you using an iPhone, or an Android handset @Ffoenix?
If you've got an iPhone, try a "Network Reset", which is described in the iPhone user guide.
If you've got an Android handset this might be caused by some of the "settings" in the Google Messages app. Try the following: a) Open the Messages app. b) Tap the "Profile" icon. c) Then Messages > Settings. d) Then Advanced, and select the phone number - change to the correct phone number for your SIM. e) Restart your phone, and it should work as expected... 🤞
